BARKING DOG PROBLEM

doing anything that would be considered as animal abuse will get you in trouble with animal control, etc. Have you talked to the dog owner? That is the first question that animal control will probably ask you if you call them.

My neighbors dogs and my dogs would bark sometimes. At night I couldn't see anything. I just tilled the corn patch one year and seen bear tracks in the soil and bear scat on the lawn. I thought the dogs were just hyper.

Two aspirin's in a piece of hot dog.

The aspirins sound like a good idea, however, they have security cameras at all 4 corners of the house. I am not sure what the distance is for cameras at night.

This is an old thread, but I'm gonna comment anyway.

Take my advice. You don't want to get caught on video putting out food for a dog that's laced with any kind of drug, even just aspirin, especially if it harms the neighbor's dog. Unless you just have an insane desire to fork out a bunch of your hard earned money to settle a lawsuit and pay attorneys' fees. And that's after you probably pay a hefty fine or spend some time in the slammer.

And you really do not want to get physically caught in the act by the dog owner.

That rates a spot on my list of Ten Best Ways to Get Yourself Shot.

This is amazing!!! We just went through a 6 month stint of this. Finally it's over.
The best part, it was one of my wife's relatives.
It was so bad that when you go to sleep you know it's only a mater of time til you are up. 2,3,7 times a night.
At no time did I ever consider doing anything to the dogs. It was not a dog problem but an owner problem. Again, the old control issue. I bought them a bark collar that they said they wanted for the dog. Didn't use it. I spoke to them 4 times, seriously, about the dogs.
When I determined they were not going to do anything, I contacted some Law enforcement folks who shoot here and they took over.
They were told one day at noon that if the officer came back it would be $220. Next call $1,000. Next call they would take the dogs with them. By 5:30 they were gone.
Call the law!! If you know any personally it will help. Good luck!
