NE Ohio Bunch fall meeting

Hopefully mcwsky09 and halvenut will make it and there's a good chance that the General will have pepperoni bread. If you live somewhere near the meeting, you should try to attend. I take the time to organize this so the local S&W lovers have a fun event to enjoy. Ollie, did you list the 19-5 on gunbroker? What a sweet gun. Larry

Checked yesterday on GB for Ollie's gun, found it and placed a bid on it. It held up till 6:10 PM tonight and now I'm the proud owner of a 2", yes 2" model 19 with lots of custom work done to it. Glad it's a local transaction, I'll meet him on Fri when I pick it up. It's a definite combat handgun. Larry

I had a chance to meet and talk with Larry tonight and he now has a sweet Model 19 Snubby in his possession. I'm glad that it went locally and went to a good home, where it will be appreciated. I had a great time talking Guns with Larry and I'm looking forward to the meeting.
Ollie

Ollie will make a great addition to our group, it was a total pleasure to meet you. The 21/2" model 19 will get me into some barbecue's in the local area. I'll display it at the bunch, Larry

Here's the directions. Take I-480 west past Cleve Hopkins airport to the Stearns Crocker exit. Turn right. The first red lite is Loraine rd, turn left. Go about 1 mile to Barton rd, turn right. The first stop sign is Bradley rd turn right. On the right is 3-4 small ranch homes, the club is on the right just past them, 5743 Bradley. The exit before Stearns off I 480 is Great Northern Blvd., exit 6B which has the Hotels. There is a LaQuinta and a Radisson plus maybe one more. Good neighborhood and close to the bunch. Ollie, its close. Larry

Hey Larry, I looked at it but passed. Nice revolver, 3" 629-6 no box, but a really unique set of grips. Had it been pre lock I would have been very tempted. The same guy, Julius, I think, had a really nice 686-1 "M" stamped, no box with service grips for a pretty fair price.

I saw Roger and spoke to him for a few minutes. We were both looking at a "shooter" 625 5" 45 Colt a guy had in the second building. I asked Roger about the "bunch" meeting, said he was probably going to be at a show in "Maumee"?

I did hook up with my FFL dealer and picked up the 3" 629-3 Carry Comp, really sweet revolver. I will certainly try to bring it to include in my display. Do you feel there will be very much interest in the members for such a modern display?? From what I have seen, they are more into the older stuff. I have never done this before and really don't want it to bomb.

Have a good weekend. Hope to see you again soon, best regards, Bob.

Hi Bob, the 3" guns are very unique and desirable. If you have different calibers, you may want to do only certain ones. There will be more bunches cause I like doin them. Maybe start out with a smaller display to get your feet wet then at the next one, you can do another caliber. This way you won't repeat the same guns and feel comfortable with the next display. You may go broke buying another 10 guns for a new display. Your 3" guns will draw attention. Bruce, enjoy you're new gun, did you shoot it yet? Larry
