Suspenders

I find that a pair of wide suspenders really helps in keeping the pants up and comfortable when carrying a gun.

Yep, they do. I recommend the 2-inch-wide ones, like firemen wear. I have several pair. You can even get them in different colors with different designs and patterns on them.

I have lower back pain from an injury long ago and any weight on my pelvis aggravates this pain. So, I EDC a 642 with +P loads in a Galco Classic Lite shoulder system. It works great here in S.Fla where big comfortable shirts are the norm. I just leave one button unbuttoned where I can get my hand inside the shirt real quick and the 642 is of a snag free design. The only one who notices the one unbuttoned button is my wife. The holster optional attachments fasten to the pants belt on both sides of the body and the whole shoulder holster system act as suspenders. It's the best of all worlds.

Not sure what year it happened but it must have been one of those really cold winters and I must have froze my behind off too. My wife used to say I had a nice one and now I don't even have one. That's why I carry IWB it truly helps hold the pants up.

SUSPENDERS

They sure beat the alternative of staples & thumbtacks. All this wt, and none where it will do me any good, holding my pants up or cushioning my bony posterior on hard chairs.

I like those Perry suspenders, $9 and change at Walmart. They have plastic hooks to hook under a belt. Helps with hip problems by spreading the weight to your shoulders.A couple of us dyed the natural-color leather back plate black to match the elastic and plastic hardware and used them with our duty belts.

The Perry's are good. But I really like the Better S-Penders Y back are the best I've ever worn.

My problem with the Perry's is that the clamps can come off the belt if you take tension off the suspenders.

I'm partial to those from Holdup Suspender Company. They're a bit pricey, but they have a wide variety from casual to formal wear and a unique clasp that won't slip off the waistband. Been using them over ten years. They're on the internet; just google the name.
