03Fatboy, Those Millet Sights? Where to get them?
Since posting the photo of my 22A-1 to this thread about a year and a half ago, I've added two more S&W autoloaders to my collection.

I like the S&W 1911s so much that I replaced two of my Kimbers with them and will replace that one with another S&W as soon as they offer a target 1911 in .38 Super (hint, hint).
Ed
Here's my Karl Sokol tuned 5906 (1988). You'll notice that Karl tastefully sculpted the grip tang for a more upswept feel. He also worked the action which would make any revolver guy/gal jealous.
She's a real tack driver and does her best with Federal 147gr HST (Std Pressure). The grips are S&W, but have been re-worked by ROBAR. The mag button is an Ed Brown unit.
I recently got the slide back from "Vito" at the S&W factory where he modified the slide for the spring-loaded decocker lever that I got from Numrich Arms. I've done this to my 915, 4566, 6906 and soon, my 659 in Karl Sokol's capable hands. I like the option of the decock-only 3rd Gens. I can always change it back if need be.
I'm awaiting another set of grips (3 actually) from ROBAR. They are the arched units. I will use them for my this 5906 and 915 with a spare for good measure. I've done this to all of my 3rd Gens, as well as the stock units on my 1987-vintage 659. It affords extra purchase without being too grippy.
She will gobble up any round and has never faltered. I polished the breech face and feed ramp with 2400 grit paper and FLITZ creme. No Dremel was used, lest I change the optimum angle of the feed ramp.
I have one more thing to do: I will send her off to Titus at Novaks in the coming weeks to have him mount a front 1911 Tritium sight (.330" X 65-degree dovetail). The jobs he's done for me previously have been superb. The best part is that he runs 5-7 days turn-around.

Sabre,
Look on ebay. I type Ed Brown gun parts. All five of my S&W 3rd Gen mag buttons have been gotten thru ebay. He no longer sells them. They afford a sizable purchase without being too big.
Hope this helps!
