Man arrested after tackling shopper carrying gun

the head drunk mommy( i wont type her name because of googlebots) at MDA is all up i arms thinking the the assaulter should be set free and the assaulted should be jailed as she put it "Because Merica"

this incident really hurts their cause in two ways. It shows that those carrying are not "Rambos at large, bent on killing using the SYG laws" and that we, as legal gun owners and carriers, have the law on our side against their "swatting." I'm sure that her, Bloomberg, and L.E of CSGV will be having xanax filled meetings to come up with a new strategy.

While I'm a sucker for Great Value beatdowns, this guy was clearly a fool. One that I pity.

This is why I also carry a Spyderco Delica IV that I keep sharp enough to shave with. If I couldn't reach my handgun but could reach my knife the person assaulting me would soon discover that a razor sharp knife can completely sever a tendon with little effort and result in a wound that may never completely heal.

If I were the Victim in this case I would be having a long discussion with the local DA and insisting that Felony Assault charges be filed. Because people have been killed by an improperly applied "choke hold" with disturbing frequency.

My thoughts after watching that video a couple of times are, the whole thing was over in about 3 or 4 seconds. Clarence never even reached for his gun, which is probably exactly how it would have went down for 99% of us. For all the talk about situational awareness and CQB training, how many of us are really hyper-vigilant every minute of every day? Whether it's an idiot "hero" wannabe, or someone with much worse intentions, going from bum-rushed to disarmed in a few seconds just isn't something most of us are prepared for.

Good case for carrying concealed and not letting it show so some idiot like this guy doesn't challenge you in some way. I like the idea that I carry my gun places where nobody ever has a clue I'm armed.
Open carry is legal here but not often seen either. I'd just as soon it became common and people became used to seeing guns being carried but think I'm dreaming there.
I hope this guy gets the maximum for his offense and the older gentleman does sue him later. I know I'm about his age and wouldn't do well physically being tackled and choked that way.

Not only does the original "hero" take him down, but two more join in. One removes his handgun from the holster (what if he had negliently discharged it) and hands it to a fourth person (what if this person had left with it) and then he hands it to a fifth person(Store Manager?) who then exits the camera view.

I can see all sorts of trouble for the one that took him down and the other two that assisted in holding him down.

I know I'm about his age and wouldn't do well physically being tackled and choked that way.

I'm a big strong exercise fanatic who went to college on a wrestling scholarship. If someone attacked me from behind and put me in a clean choke hold I wouldn't do very well either.

What a jerk. I'll bet his family is sooooo embarrassed over this.

Daniels' got a purty good civil suit again Foster and the others that join'd in the melee,
Walmart may be writing a check to Daniels as well.

I guess Foster's gonna get his 15 minutes in the spot lite.....

Let's all jest hope Mr. Foster is arraigned before a firearms friendly Judge ;):D

This seems like an object lesson about inserting yourself into a situation that doesn't involve imminent threat of serious bodily injury or death to YOU.

We occasionally have discussions on this forum about what we would do if we witnessed a situation involving a BG threatening others. Some opine that they'd 'run to the sound of the gunfire' or otherwise attempt to intervene. After all, they reason, they have a CCW permit!

Wiser folks understand that they aren't LEOs or the Lone Ranger.

Imagine that this yahoo had been armed and played out his Lone Ranger fantasies.

BIG TO DO AT WALLY-WORLD

"I wonder if the elderly man sustained any injuries?" Give the lawyers a chance. I bet he's wearing a neck brace by now. Innocent as the victim is, I'll bet he is re-thinking his CONCEALED carry method, as we ALL should be. If Johnny superhero could tell he was carrying, Who else could? With all the CCL's issued in FL and carriers, licensed or not here, I worry more about buying it from a stray shot or friendly fire. Gotta love "THE" Walmart for people watching, it's better than Disney, open 24/7, and free. BTW a 62 y/o here in Gods waiting room is practically a pimple faced kid.

As a person that has carried a concealed weapon since the mid 1970s and a former NRA certified pistol instructor of my counties mandatory pistol permit pre issues instruction course the man with the gun did not have it well enough concealed. Concealed means concealed and your piece should not be detected expect by a pat down or metal detector. Still that was no reason for him to get jumped!

Living here in the super anti gun people's republic of NY if someone sees your piece, more than likely the cops will be called. If the cops find you and depending on where it happens & you have a gun a good chance it will be confiscated on the spot and when you go before the judge to plead your case your permit will be revoked. That's life here, so prudent people know how to conceal a gun. Oh by the way if the person with a concealed gun turns out to be a cop nothing happens because of his (Tin) status.

Now with that said what the heck was that aggressor person thinking. Going around and committing an assault on a another person, double so knowing full well a person is armed. It even could have been an off duty/retired Leo.

I wonder if the elderly man sustained some serious and lasting injuries after being viciously assaulted by this obviously deranged Michael Foster. I wouldn't be surprised if there will be a civil lawsuit in the future. I can recommend an attorney in Florida with the tenacity of a pit bull. That would be my cousin Butch. Michael Foster's criminal proceedings may just be the beginning of his troubles.

Elderly? Just what the hell do you me by that comment? I'm 60 & I'm a loooooooooooooooong way from elderly!!!!!!!!!!;) You young whippersnapper!
