A scene from your neighborhood

This is my stompin' grounds, but it's gittin' so crowded, I'm thinkin' of movin' to the country.

Beautiful! I'd love to live in spaces that open where I could go out in my yard and shoot any time I wanted. But the wife says where I live now is as rural as she is going to go.

I bet it gets pretty windy there with the lack of anything to stop it. Probably even worse than here.

We had a contract for 600 wind turbines until the State of Wyoming got greedy and invoked draconian taxes on the energy companies and everybody went to New Mexico.
Developers call it the Saudi Arabia of wind.

This is my rifle range. Back stop is 12 miles from here. That grey ridge in the distance is Como Bluff. They've been diggin' dinosaurs outta there since 1876. Nuthin' to hit in between except maybe a couple of pasture poodles.

I took this picture standing in the gunners door of the B24 Liberator Witchcraft. The Collins Foundation was doing a show at the Beverly Ma. airfield and I paid a fee to fly in a piece of aviation history.

Very cool picture. :D:D:D

This has become my new desktop photo. In fact I am saving a bunch of them to rotate through in sleep mode...

A windfarm is supposed to go up to my northeast. Close enough that I'll probably be able to see the tops of the closest ones from my back yard.

Little trespasser was pinching my mulberries. :D

Edit, This little guy is my neighbor and has full permission to eat every mulberry he can pick. He can also come over and play with the dogs anytime. This photo is just them playing, No child or dog was harmed in taking it.

A video I found of a drive up to and through Paw Paw West Virginia. The place I call home.
Since this video was taken, the old water tower's been scrapped along with the metal buildings around it. We also now have a Dollar General in town.

I just found a video of our local hiking/biking trail. There's a side trail that leads to our little town so we can just get on our bikes and go.

We get a lot of tourists when the weather gets warm.

I live in the suburbs, but here is a popular view of the city of Minneapolis. The giant spoon is in the sculpture garden of the Walker Art Center. The sculptor is Claes Oldenburg.

Scene From My Neighborhood

This is the view from my front porch/yard in the late Spring. Snow melt pattern in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of So Colorado. We call it The Old Buck. It doesn't look like that today, it is snowing sideways and I can't see across the yard, and on days like this I wonder why I keep horses around here that have to be fed.

When you think of Memphis The Mississippi River has to be one of the first things that come to mind.

Just after sunset, just south of Memphis.

The 2011 flood. It got within 6 inches of the record, 14 feet above floodstage.

This is the bridge the terrorist want to blow up, you might have heard the story a few weeks ago, The Memphis-Arkansas Bridge. This bridge was opened in 1949. They had a lot of steel left over from WWII. They didn't skimp or cut corners on it. A couple of terrorist car bombs wouldn't scratch it.

What I wish my street would look like tomorrow morning. This is going east

What it will probably look like. This is going west.
