Kinda cheating to take the scope off when you weigh it... isn't it? :D Also betting you normally have something on those threads.

Really nice gun! I just put the Tacticool modified adapter on mine so as to use an AR handguard. Nice product.

The scope is 6oz iirc. However the leupold rings are silly heavy.
Reason why I took it off is I swap from a trs-25 to 3x9.

Maglite what could you possibly mean.....
I need a Odin release and a NDZ lever.
Any ideas on light scope rings or single unit?
Thanks guys

New member, first post here.

Do you mind weighing the stock rail that was on the rifle? I'm tempted to swap rails on my 15-22 but I'd like to know the weight of the original one for comparison.

Thanks!

Both the Odin and the NDZ SBR are ITAR restricted products, i dont think either company is large enough or profitable enough to bother with an export licence. So you may be out of luck getting those parts. Plan a trip across the border :)

8.34 oz with end cap
9.31 oz with end cap and factory barrel nut

Thanks for the speedy reply!

Presumably the Tacticool22 handguard converter doesn't weigh much, so combined with a lightweight freefloat rail it will probably be very similar to the stock plastic rail.

Nope .25+lbs lighter!
The stock handguard and nut are very solid.
Taccom is your lightest option

Here is my lightweight setups in .22 ARs (1 15-22 and 1 AR-22

rimfire2.jpg

Can't get the top one, the 15-22, below 4lbs 12ozs because like little_airwolf knows most of the extra weight is in the barrel.

The bottom one, the AR-22, however weighs in at 3lbs 5ozs (1.5kg). Once I replace the aluminum sleeved barrel with the carbon fiber one I expect it to weigh 2lbs 15ozs. (1.32kg). Those weights include the C-More red dot. It has a MagTac magnesium alloy lower which is lighter than any polymer lower even the old Omni AT100. Notice both are equipped with the Taccom CF handguards. The MagTac lower would not work with either a JP or S3G trigger so I ended up installing a Timney 3# Competition drop in. So far I have only test fired it successfully. Have not tried it in a match as yet.

Is Suffolk a company that cut and threaded the factory barrel or are you saying there is somone making barrels for the 15-22?
