New M&Ps get three free magazines

Just picked up an M&P 9 FDE today. Submitted the form with a picture of the receipt tonight. Do they send you an e-mail confirmation? It said it was submitted and allow 6 - 8 weeks but how do you know if they really have it? Hopefully they confirm with an e-mail. Anyone receive their mags yet?

Exactly right. Even if there were such a dumb law, why no substitute deal to keep their loyal MA & CT customers happy? :confused: Such amazing indifference just cannot be explained. :mad:

Your state passed it's laws not S&W. This has been a very popular promotion for Smith in the past and likely will be this time as demonstrated by the posts on this thread. I for one am glad they are running it again even though a few states won't allow their citizens to participate.

I'm sure Massachusetts is a great state in many ways but gun friendly ain't one of 'em...not Smith's fault. Any perceived unfairness should be taken up with your legislators. The rest of us are pretty loyal as well.

No, actually Massachusetts sucks in just about every possible way. But there is no law here that is preventing S&W from offering their deal here (or offering a substitute deal if they feel they want to stay on the "good side" of our newest/latest anti-gun AG).
 
I was in Gander Mountain on 4/29 looking at guns and they had the M&P 9 on sale but the sale ended that day. I ended up buying the gun then went back 2 days later and bought 2 more mags. I found this thread tonight, sent in my information, and S&W said pending verification I should have my 3 new mags in 8-12 weeks. I never planned to have 7 mags but I guess you can never have too many.
 
Back in April i submitted my mag request online, sort of expected some form of email confirmation but as one was never sent (no errors when i clicked "submit) i emailed S&W's cs just to see if they can at least tell me my order is in the system.

Got the reply below today:

Dear Customer,

At this time we do not have any information entered into our operating system. This is why the promotion say 8 to 10 weeks. Once we get the information loaded we will be able to give you an update.

guess i'll give it another 2-3 weeks and ask them again. Not that i have to have the mags today, just would be nice to know. If i get any solid feedback i'll post an update.
 
Having been a part of last years promotion,
I understand the uneasiness created by the "Lack of Acknowledgement" on the part of S&W...

It is further aggravated by the clause in the promotion which states words to the effect...
"we aren't responsible if there's a screw up somewhere and we don't receive your submission"...

The only reassurance I can give some of you is:

If you submit via "snail mail" send it "certified, return receipt requested"
so you have proof of submission and receipt on their end
The small added USPS cost is pennies compared to the value of your new magazines

Don't call till about a week to go; have your pistol's serial number ready
(it's how they cross reference your eligibility)

Be polite...after all you are calling early

Following the above I was told mine were "in progress..." And I got them about 2 weeks later

PROnSHIELD thanks for the tips. My first promo with S&W and am used to always getting confirmations so was a bit bothered buy it all. I'll let patience be my guide... for awhile anyhow..

I think they exclude the Shield because they've sold so many of them that if they did give out 3 free mags for each new shield sold, they'd be out of business...
 
Well, just couldn't pass up this offer even though I don't 'need' another gun. lol

Don't have a .45 yet so I just bought a M&P 45c!

If I don't get mine by the end of June or the middle of July, I'll probably call. They asked for up to 10 weeks.
 
Subscribing to this thread in hopes that someone will post confirmation of receipt soon. They owe me 3 .45 mags and 3 9mm mags. I sent mine in online around the beginning of April.
 
Well, I guess I'll be the first guy. I received a box today with M&P mags in it. I submitted my rebate for 3 40 cal mags and 3 45 mags, the first week the promo was posted here. The only thing is, the box I got didn't ship from S&W (came from Paducah KY) and the mags inside were not in any packaging. Frankly, they look like they may be used mags to me.

I'm not super happy about them advertising what sounds like new mags and then sending used mags. I guess they will still work and are of some value, but just not what I expected.
