Something I just have to mention because I'm involved in the same situation currently. Quite often these great deals aren't really all that great. When somebody that has cared for a firearm for many years makes the decision that it's time for a good friend or relative to be entrusted with the future care of their prized possession it can be a sad time for both parties. The realization that you may never shoot again and that your prized weapon would be better off in somebody else's hand is a tough thing to face. I'm now on the receiving end of one of those deals and it's really not a happy time. Sorry to be such a downer but this just hit really close to home.
Most likely, N frame Magna or service stocks with the uncheckered diamond around the stock screw, like the ones in this photo:

Highly unlikely it had Target stocks from the factory. Have you had the chance to shoot it yet?
Why can't I find these deals?

If You don't like the Herrett's I would be willing to buy them, personally I like the looks of the Herrett's and I understand they feel to be equally good, very pricey new in the shooting stars design. A nice pair of the correct grips might set you back in excess of $100 minimum on Ebad, I was just checking their availability and their are plenty to choose from. Good Luck
