I want to mention three. A tactical folder, a multi tool, and a classic pocket knife.

I used to carry a Benchmade HK 14200SBT for years. It was great. Lost it for 18 months on one of my properties at night. Found it in the wash after a flood. Yes 18 months. You can see the corrosion on it but it cleaned right up. It is still my favorite tactical folder.

About 5 years ago I realized I needed more utility for my day to day so I retired the benchmade and went to a Leatherman original Wave that I modified with a spyderco pocket clip for work.

Outside of work I carry a Case Jr. Scout which is my absolute favorite knife right now.

Three of my favorite knives but if I had to choose just one it would be the Case Jr. Scout. It has everything I need to get through my days and is lightweight.

So what's your favorite or favorites?

Picked up a Sog Trident Tanto couple years back. Has the spring assist blade and clip to attach to pant pocket to keep secure. Blade steel is advertised as Aus-8 and it keeps a decent edge. Has been my everyday carry knife. Blade length is 3.75 inches I believe.

I carry a Benchmade Mini Griptillian clipped to my right pocket but always in my left pocket is a Case Medium serpentine, 3 5/8", 3 blade stockman. Either a 5318 (stag) or a 6318 (bone) and I have about 5 or 6 of these that I alternate with. I have many, many pocketknives and have collected for years and sold some. I have tried the Trapper knives and Jack knives but always go back to the stockman design.
I guess my favorite is the Case 3 blade, 3 5/8" serpentine stockman.

Recycled Pics...

Another vote for Case; I like Muskrats or Slimline Trappers.

I normally carry a Spyderco Endura and a Victorinox Super Tinker. But if I could only have one pocketknife (perish the thought!) it would be an older, U.S.-made Schrade Old Timer 8OT, the four-inch stockman. An alternate would be either the 77OT muskrat or a Cold Steel Country Classics four-inch stockman, made for Cold Steel by Camillus some years ago.

No pocket knife here,,,,Just a Leatherman tool.

Ive been carrying one for about 25 years. Couldn't go with out one!

I've got 2 that I carry on a regular basis.
The upper one's a Smith & Wesson Cuttin' Horse. It's not assisted opening and I carry it when I need to go to Maryland.
Everywhere else, it's the lower one. It's a no name assisted opening knife I got at a Pawn Shop.

Antique folders are things of the past. I never bought into the medal handled blades with belt clips, though I have to admit they are far more useful and handier. They just do not have any panache or character. I carry many antique bone handled folders. Lately I have been carrying a Case 2 bladed, bone handled, carbon steel bladed knife with double cut swedges and a long pull main blade. It was made between 1905 and 1920.

I consider all my pocket knives to be tools, but some of them could be considered "tactical" I suppose. Out of my modest collection I take along whatever strikes me for the day. In addition, I have a SAK Cadet, and a Leatherman Squirt on my key chain so I always have them. I just got a ZT0566, so that's what I had with me today.

My favorite is the folder my wife got me as a gift 10 years ago, still carry it every day.
