Can you give us a summary of what the screws and wires are supposed to do?

I've never heard of this sort of procedure. Will the wires be under the skull, in the brain?

Prayers continue.

Really glad to hear from you! Hang in there. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us updated.

You hang in there my friend. You at the top of my prayer list until you're all better. Keep that up-beat and positive attitude and get back to us when you can.

And don't you worry 'bout that bald headed thang, you just stick it up and walk it! Guys like us make it look GOOD!

I'm glad it was out-patient and they didn't have to put you under, that always simplifies things. I was put out when they drilled a hole to drain blood and had to spend the night. Anti-seizure drugs to make sure I didn't flip out. Before I could be released I had to pass physical and cognitive tests. I ran mental circles around those young nurses.

I'm very happy for you that all seems to be going well, I love your attitude and having a good and positive attitude will help as much as anything else. Stay strong and positive my friend, bless you and your family. John

Well Ringo, it's good to hear from you and you haven't lost your sense of humor for sure. It sounds like one heck of a preparation you have went through for this surgery. When and if you can please update us on your operation. You have a good sense of humor and have approached this surgery with an upbeat attitude. Sometimes that is half the battle. Let us hear from you on your progress when you come out from under all those good drugs they are going to give you.

Just stay away from those canned tamales!
You will be fine!

Heh heh, if I dont? ill wind up intensive care. Im doing better today though. Not only have the bandgages off but I now have two horseshoe shaped scars and a few other incisions. Ive got to keep these reples short because wifi isnt that good here and some letters arent responding,

Ringo, your attitude is an inspiration. Hope we meet someday. Best of luck to you tomorrow.

Same ehere. You allll are helping me trough this and are awsome folks. However, I still hate needles. If you saw a pic of my noggin? well, the best description I can make in comparing it with something is-remember the third installment of the original Star Wars movie? Return of the Jedi. Wel, the part where Luke takes the helmet off of Darth Vader-look at his noggin. The battle damge on his head--looks like mine.

Thanks for the update, glad to hear you're up and about. So, three operations, huh? You must have bought into the deluxe package at the hospital! Hang in there...

The third surgery is on the 26th and is where they have to insert batteries into my chest. They will be opening the left sde because I want anything to interfere with shooting. They said ssince I want to use rifles, that they suggest surgery there or it mght damage the batteies.

More prayers headed south until we get an update tomorrow Ringo.

I forgot to mention in my last post-at the deluxe surgery is actually the norm for this type. Im nt sure whats different from an others but, this one is a rarer type operation. The others dont last as long as this oe does. Also, I have been cleared to go home sometime in the afternoon. The only effects im feeling now are a slight headach from all the staples. The screws--or guideposts, were removed yesterday.

Also, I didnt feel any pain yesterday after the used my IV to inject the pain killer. After injecting the PC--I dont remember a thing even though I was awake. I dont even remember the two dime-sized holes they drilled. I was groggy and then they tested my motor skills by using something to touch various nerves on both sides my my brain. One of few tings I remmber elling ny Dr, is thats this surgery reminded me of a Star Trek episode called: Spock;s Brain The doc laughed at that. The testing was done in order to see what was needed for te fine tuning of things in about a week or so.
