"Screaming" 27-2 - Beautiful Gun with Outstanding Engraving

This Model 27 is indeed extraordinarily beautiful to me. I've noted other of your magnificent guns RK. All highly impressive. But for me this one perhaps the pinnacle.

Is the basic design itself Middle Eastern? Living in Turkey we picked up a few decorative ceramic plates of extraordinarily similar patter; those dark blue on white background. Perhaps copying Ottoman Turkish or Arabic art. Possibly too, a pattern following Islamic custom which, as we were told, disdained animal depictions. Anyway, they were beautiful and I find your '27' very much so! I'd appreciate learning about the style exhibited!
And just...
A very amateurish take!

Outstanding, now all you need is a set of Pachmayr grips and your good to go. Just kidding of course thanks so much for showing us this beautiful revolver.

What an incredible piece of functional art work! The revolver shows the polished cylinder flutes but, I have a question regarding the "color" after engraving.

I presume the "color", a beautiful "gun metal grey" is natural and exposed after engraving. If not, is the revolver "finished" in any way, shape, form or fashion, after engraving in order to "preserve" the bare metal?

It is clearly a "masterpiece"!

The gun was blued (like at the factory) after the engraving was complete. The lighter shades of gray are an effect of the light box and camera angles used to highlight the engraving.

I'm not sure on the pattern. It is unique from all of my other engraved guns. Since starting this thread several years ago, I do believe that I have seen a few other Vasco engraved guns with a similar pattern, none of which were as deeply engraved.

"In a class of it's own"

RKmesa;

I've been fiddling around, with firearms since around 1937, and have never seen anything like it. The engraving is in a class of it's own. I want you to know, that I really enjoy looking at the pictures, that you'v posted of it. I'll never be able to own an engraved gun, and have to limit my enjoyment of them, to just looking at 'em. This one just, "Tickles The Pud'in Out of Me". Thanks.

Chubbo
