S&W Semi-Auto Picture Thread

Just finished dressing up the 910 I bought back in July.
(See original pics in post 1591)
Installed Hogue grips and a complete 915 slide.

Now I need a trip to the range.[emoji106]

police issue

I acquired a sweet 9 mm S&W police issued service weapon. CPD went to Glock and retired the 9s. Smoothest action ever. A bit heavy for daily CC. Purchased a S&W Bodyguard .380 . Easy to carry in my front pocket. I read several forums on the leftys having issue with the safety. It does create a problem in an emergency situation.

Model 5904 Advanced Improvement Program

Here is my only (for now) Smith and Wesson semi-auto. My wife owns an M&P 9mm, and I wanted to have a S&W in the same caliber.

From what I understand, as part of the Advanced Improvement Program, this handgun was likely built in 1988, and the very beginning for the production run.

I haven't had a chance to get it to the range yet, but I functions very smoothly and I expect it to work great.

One question though. The last picture shows the base of the magazine. Is it normal to have only a metal bottom, or should there be a plastic cap?

I'm certain you'll have a safe full of 3rd gens by this time next year, ask me how I know.

Looks like you have a 59 series mag, you can replace the metal base plate with plastic one if you like.

More mag info and pics here.
