41Mag dies work fine.

7.62 x 39mm brass works perfectly.
No trimming to do. Yes you can expand from 30 to 40 cal in one pass. I do it all the time w/a tapered expander made from a 45acp expander.
No cases lost.
Anneal after the above operation and FL size and load on the 41 Mag dies.

The very small semi rim of the case is more than enough to hold headspace. Never had a problem.

Interesting that the smaller rim would function OK. My experience in performing a significant neck expansion is that I needed to use a succession of neck expander buttons of increasing diameters to get there. I have never tried a long tapered button to do it in one step.
