Annoyed at thread drift

It's 99 degrees here in the desert tonight at 10:27 down from 116 earlier in the afternoon. Lot's of good stuff on here today you folks are really doing a good job of drifting.

If you see a man in black out here along the highway you leave them alone cause if they are dressed in a long black trench coat in this heat they are either really tough or really crazy and in either case they are best left alone.

A lot of wildfires out here in the southwest right now. Some are under investigation. Could they have been started by the emu hordes? Probably not penguins or possums cause they don't do well in the desert.

I'm going to get one of those bake it yourself chocolate chip cookie dough things, (you know the ones that come like in a sausage). I'm gonna slice it lengthwise and make two long flat cookies. Then I'm gettin me some chocolate hagendaaz and slice a couple pieces of that, and make an ice cream po'boy.

We went to the summer blues series last night but the act didn't show up. Kelly Richey was her name, I don't know if anyone's heard of her. She's from Cincinnati I think. Anyway she supposedly got lost, not very professional. They got a local band to come in on short notice so it wasn't a total waste.

Up in the campground at 0645 EDST or 0545 local time. My first cup of tea and a reasonable blood sugar level considering dinner at Ponderosa, called it the lunch buffet on local time. Life on the road is crazy as usual. It was hot all night long. Sigh, going to check the weather on the route and try to find a campground with cable for Battlebots (TM) tonight. At whatever time is local.

The Blues Brothers had a line about a "Wish Sandwich" (two slices of bread and you wish you had some meat).......
Mine was like that, but I had a pint of Hagen daz and I wished I had the chocolate chip bread.

Good morning drifters,,,,,, Not a great day in neighborhood this morning, clouds, rain and thunderstorms are scheduled for the day's events! Which means I won't see the deck contractor today! He showed up yesterday at 2pm after picking up supplies and getting his screw gun fixed? They were here until 10pm last night! They are making progress though and I'm starting to get my deck back and it's looking good!
Had my morning coffee and getting ready for breakfast with an old friend.

Talk of ice cream sandwiches, our local grocery store has a limited run on Lemoncello Ice cream and sandwiches. The sandwiches are made with a vanilla cake instead of chocolate. (Sorry Snubby) The lemon makes it quite a refreshing treat on a hot day! The wife stocked up on extras!

I'm staging a Sit In! I'm going to sit in the Living Room floor, till Wifey let's me by a New Wilson Combat AR 10. She shouldn't have said, No, you can't order another Damn Thing!

We'll just see Lil Missy. See how you like walking around me for a few days!

Damn it, I forget she can just cut around through the Den. Maybe if I sit in front of the bathroom door? No, she'll just use the Guest Restroom!

The size of that pizza blows my mind; maybe in places like New York or Philly you can get one like that, but I've never seen one like that around here, & this is Texas!!! And, is she about to pour salad dressing on that pizza? It's the only thing I can figure, because I sure don't see any salad on that table. Definitely an acquired taste...
