So, I think I've narrowed down my scope choice to a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x, or a Primary Arms 1-6x with ACSS reticle. Looks like the Vortex runs about $50 more, and of course they run different reticles.

Anyone have experience with both, or have a strong recommendation for one over the other?

Thanks.

I have them both ... Primary Arms 1x6 for my 300 Blk Out and the Strike Eagle on my 556/223

Both are great scopes

I really like my PA 1x6 with the Chevron Reticle

I have the Primary Arms for my 300 Blackout. I love the reticle. It's been a good scope so far. I've only had it for 6 months, so I'm not sure about the longevity of it. So far so good.

I have a few Vortex optics, although I don't have the Strike Eagle. They make a quality product.

In any case, I don't think you can go wrong with either.

PA or Vortex is a toss up. For cheap optics they're both fine. Both companies stand behind their products. Just pick the one with the reticle that suits you better.

I'm going with a Millett DMS-2 once I get an itch to spend

I have had the PA for about a year and am really pleased with it. My son in law also purchased one a couple of months after mine and both have been great. We are using them on Burris QD PEPR mounts and they seem to retain a good zero after removal. SiL dropped his and all is still good.
When I researched the I found a reference that said both brands were made in the same factory in China with the difference being the reticle.
