Well, since I don't own an AR, I recon it would have to be my Camp 9. Or a lever action.
Not looking on it as an investment.
. . . And they won't. They'll continue to huff and puff, but removing tens of millions of guns and hundreds of millions of magazines without paying people fair price for legally purchased property will create a revolt in this country that has never been seen before.
I would advance the theory that even paying full or double price wouldn't make a difference . . .
Candidly, I've never seen any hunter use one to take game, not saying it's not possible but I've been hunting for years in many states and never seen one, ever.
. . . Don't expect society to collapse, though.
AR's are cute rifles. Problem is, I would be laughed off any outfitters property if I went on a hunt with one....
Like...what the **** is that, you crazy...

My Bartlien barreled 308 weighs 6 pounds scoped and it's elk capable to 600 yards with a 165 Berger VLD Hunting bullet.
I bought that 460 XVR (and I'm waiting for the brass to arrive) to load up some 300 grain hollow points that I will certainly use on North American game animals.
Isn't Lake Cumberland the one that dried up?????![]()
If I were the guy trying to figure out how to initiate stricter gun control I would figure out a way to hinder the distribution and sale of ammunition. That would be the long run approach and it would take a while, but we've seen what the short term disruption to the availability of .22 LR ammo has had.
If others want to toe the line and hide them in the closet, never to be seen again, then that is their God given choice.
I still would never attempt a long shot with a 55 grain pill no matter how hard I pushed the velocity.
