Have you ever walked out on a movie?

"My Dinner With Andre". We waited and waited for something. I don't know what exactly. Left after 30 min. or so.

If it's a movie I don't like the wife will wake me when it's time to leave.

For several years before I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and started using a CPAP machine, it was a common joke with my wife and kids that I would only see the opening and closing credits of any movie...if I sat down for any length of time, especially in a dark room, I would go to sleep. The final straw was when I started going to sleep while driving! Since using the CPAP machine, I now sleep normally, and I can actually watch movies from start to finish.

Frank Zappa's 200 Motels. There ain't enough drugs and alcohol on the planet for that to be any good. Can't remember why I went to see it in the first place.

I'm a Zappa fan also, and I didn't make it 10 minutes into this one! Thankfully, it was only a rental.

Another one I was enjoying (I don't think it was at a theater) was 'A Fish Called Wanda', when it got to the point where the guy was threatening to eat the fish we turned it off and never finished it.

There aren't too many movies that were made in the 80's that I still like, but this is still one of my favorites!

And, "the guy" was Kevin Kline, who won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. I still quote some of his lines!

Two, Apocalypse Now and Caligula. First was too boring and the second was a real perversion.

Apocolypse Now is the only movie I ever walked out of, even though I really like Robert Duvall's classic line about the smell of napalm.

In order stay in good odor with the mods....

Rocky Horror and Spinal Tap. What a waste of film.

...I won't say what i thought of 'Rocky Horror'.

Now 'This is Spinal Tap' was really funny IF you are familiar with all the rock and roll lore, trends and conventions that spawned it. Nearly everything in the movie was a spoof on 'notorious events' in rock history.

I didn't watch all of that one either.......

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.......people flying around on strings...a waste of time and $$.....

That was NOT what it was cracked up to be. It seemed for a while that any movie that made one of the 360 degree pans around a central subject was deemed to be a great movie.
