Only one Smith semi?

Well, something that doesn't exist, an actual 6906. All stainless. I do love my 6906. (even though it is a 6903)

Love my 1006, but it is not practical for EDC. Got to have an EDC, so that narrows it down to the 39-2 or Shield 9mm. Both are good carry guns, but the Shield is smaller and lighter. I would have to go with the Shield if I could only keep one.

Of the few I own now, the 4513TSW, no doubt about it.:)

But thinking back on the ones I've had that slipped away, the 3566 compact -- as fun a shooting gun as I've ever owned. Remind me again why I let it go? :o

Well kind of; a PC SD-9 all stainless 6906 frame and a 4 1/4 inch barrel and slide!......IIRC 179 built in 1994 or 95.

Great shooting 9mm......... shot mine in IDPA until I found out (here) how few were made!!!!!!

Making the assumptions that we can exclude polymer framed guns, and we're not just referring to guns we currently own...

If I could only have one it would be a primo, LNIB model 39. I love the historical significance, and it fits my hand better than any other gun.

For practical purposes - a 5903. Light enough to carry, large enough to be a pleasant range or house gun.

If I could choose only one, it would be a 639 or 3906.

I only have one left after owning and shooting 422, M-41, 39, 59, 5906, 6906, 3913, CS-45, 4506, 4566, 1911 Pro Stainless 9mm, the 1911 is the keeper. I just don't shoot SA/DA well, so my autos are all SA now.

Now, I will say the 3913 was a superb compact pistol and never, ever jammed or misfired. Accuracy was top notch too.

Wow... what is a tough call this is for me.

I guess, if arm twisted to only one... I would have to make it the cousin of the gun above... my IDPA 4006 due to it's rarity. Only 12 sample guns were made, the .40 S&W is not a highly thought round for use in IDPA and S&W couldn't drum up enough interest to go any further with it.

Otherwise... I'd go with my 4506-1.

The PC 4006 is one of my holy grail guns. What was the number made?

I remember one year at NPSC, the Perfomance Center was there and had some of their pistols for display and shooting. I picked up a Tactical .40. Mr. Ray said to me, "You don't want that." I remember thinking, "Why, yes, I do.".

Well, I collect S&W revolvers, but I do have some autos that I like. 39-2, 59 (blue), 59 (nickel) CS9, 3913LS, Shield. My 9mm Shield has been my EDC for years, so I guess that would be my one "Keeper".

I've only got two. One is a 39-2. That's my sentimental favorite. I love everything about them. The way they look, the way they feel, the way they shoot...I've owned three or four of them over the years, but recently picked up another one and I plan to keep it this time.

But I picked this one, a 457, up one day, mostly because it was inexpensive and I didn't have a 45. Turns out it's a good shooter.

It would be a tough call, but I'm pretty sure I'd keep the 39.

I had five, not counting the M&Ps; a S&W 1911, CS45, 4566, 4506, and a 5906. Sold four of them for various reasons and kept the 4506. Most likely will not part with it.

It's special. Can you deduce why?:)
