Went over to the sister-inlaws house for X-mas and her husband who owns some firearms (mostly military) and some newer pistols. Shoots maybe 5 times a year and doesn't know the difference between a Taurus and a Smith, showes me a revolver he paid $400 for, from a guy he works with. It's a HE, 5 screw 4''bl made in 1955 in 44 special, in 80-85% con. with org. stocks. THEN he bring out another gun from the same person in the box with the papers and tools and it's a mod 17 from 1974 with org. stocks in 80% con (also paid $400 for). I offerend him $600 for the 44 spc. But now that he knows that I want it he knows that it is worth more then what he paid for it. Now it is going to sit in a shoe box for the rest of his life. All I can hope for is that I buy some ammo for it he might let me shoot it.... HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEARS

Maybe he'll kick off early and his wife will let it go for $400.00.
Or every time to see him ask him if he's feeling OK, seen a doctor or has a will. Like you said life ain't fair. Play dirty. Might pay off. If it doesn't you'll have fun, he's only married to a sister in law.

would love to offer him $2000 just don't have that kind of money laying around and I did ask him to see if the guy has any thing else for sell.

Why did you make him an offer. You showed him your hole card before the bet? That aint the way you buy guns or anything. Dont intend on being rude. Best.

I told him that it would make a nice addition to my collection and offered $200 more than what he paid. he does not know what he has and I though a $200 profit would sway him to sell it to me. if I told him what it was worth I would never see it agin because he would then sell to someone willing to pay a lot more than I am willing to dish out.

On my, that is FOUR 4" pre 21's in this section of the forum today! And, there were only 400 or so of that barrel lenghth in that model ever made. Must either be New Year's eve or April first.

Drive safely guys and gals.
