Help With Lee Presses?

Check out Titan Reloading, the are a Lee dealer, they carry all things LEE and there prices are lower the any of the other online sellers.

Sometimes Amazon is cheaper, especially if you have prime and get "free" shipping.

You just have to check out a couple sources and figure which will get you the best deal. Often it's toss a coin.

I have the Lee Classic Turret and a old Hornady single stage press. The Lee works well, but mine will spit old primers on occasion. Don't know why. I bought separate items with the press that don't work very well. The safety primer, I gave it away. The Auto Disc powder measure leaks powder everywhere. I prime off press with the old Lee hand primer.

I like the LCT, but use other brands of accessories.

Have a blessed day.

I too have a LCCT. It is an ok press. The primer thing is kinda crappy piece of plastic... and the powder disc measure usually works ok. But I'm not in love with it. Since I have other Turret presses I will probably sell the LCCT. Only thing I load on it is 44 Special and 45 Colt. The press isn't bad but in my opinion the other items in the package are kinda like a Grock...Tupperware! Which surprisingly still works. I put different lock nuts on the dies and they stayed where they should have and the Lee FCD once set seemed to work well. Same with the 45 Colt. I found a Dillon 450(new )I bought many years ago that I was going to set up in 45C...but have decided to sell it also and buy another 650 to use for those cals. Or just use a T-7 to load them. I have real powder measures that I can use on it, too. Not dissing the press as it works ok. Just used to good reloading equipment that my somewhat dyslexic brain doesn't mess up on. I can't use a Mec 650 either.

Given the design of the press, I don't see how that is possible. The ram is hollow and the decapper pin pushes it straight into the hollow ram. It has nowhere to go but down the inside of the ram and into the tube attached to it.

I have used the 4 hole Classic press for years. It runs great! I did away with the gizmo that turns the turrent and also the primer do hockey thingie. I turn the turrent manually and use the Lee auto bench primer to prime cases (this is an awesome primer seater). My press ejects spent primers to a long tube that hangs under the press. A friend bought a new press and it dumps the spent primers underneath the press(?), I don't like that. Also Lee dies are excellent.

When they get dirty the primer arm will hang up in the ram and kick old primers out to the floor

Still using mine. Adding all the extras to it makes it even better. I have a love hate thing with the Pro Auto Disk. When you find a hole in the disk that works for you then it's great. If not you can try the Charge Bar. If still no... Well... I was trying to figure a way to mount the Uniflow and not have an expensive hodge podge. Or I can mount it and throw the arm each time... And risk missing one. No, for now the setup is as good as it gets.

As an about five year later update to what I said before, I'm still STILL using mine. Also, I found that adding the Double Disk kit fixed my issue with the Pro Auto. Being able to stack the disks has always allowed me to get very close to what I'm looking for and the cavity never altering is better than the Uniflow that has slightly backed out on me and the Hornady powder measure that did the exact same thing.

On a side note, I've bought Lee's newer measure that is now coming in the Classic Turret kit rather than the Pro Auto and I do NOT like it one bit. Mine does not like to drop small powder charges with Bullseye for 9mm loads and that's pretty much a bread and butter common load. This is something the Pro Auto handles like a champ.
