The word "Rare"....

I agree completely with this!
Putting it bluntly, a gun is one of the most recognized phallic symbols in the known universe.
Assigning feminine traits or girlish values to a gun is simply incomprehensible to me.
I knew I was compensating for something...sigh.
Referring to the stock and for end as "Furniture".
Even worse "Tactical Furniture"

Maybe not a term per se, but it really grates on me when people anthropomorphize their guns. It happens with cars and pickups too. "She shoots straight", "She runs like the day I bought her new" etc. It's almost always "she", how come? Guns and vehicles are things, not people.

Except for the few small production runs of S&W revolvers that actually have them I hate reading "half lug" and the less often seen term "partial lug." S&W literature has named their ejector rod shrouds just that forever. There is no excuse like some ignorant lad at the factory wrote "grips" on their web site. The two S&W models that actually have partial lugs that I remember are the 1990s 5" Model 686 and 5" .357 Model 60.
However, "Half lug" might be acceptable Ruger terminology. The cross section of a S&W ejector rod shroud is very different from a full lug. That is not the case with Rugers like their short lugged 6" Security Six.
Now, if you can excuse me for a few minutes, I'll take my M1 out and clear the front lawn.

Yep! The word "RARE" in any WTS post, ad or listing for the sale of a gun turns me off immediately. I'll decide if it is "rare" or not.
The same with all such similar words.I also hate the word "EXTRAS" in any WTS ad as in "with EXTRAS" or "includes EXTRAS"
Leave the damn extras out and give me your best price. 
Sell the "EXTRAS" separately if they are worth so much money! 
So the worst WTS ad for me would read: "RARE WITH MANY EXTRAS"!

And it goes without saying that the word "clip" when used to mean "magazine" is like a crazed lunatic moonbat screaming anti-2A BS into my one remaining good ear.
