Got one. :D

A Mossberg 590 Shockwave, that is!

This gun reminds me of the old school cut down shotguns you'd see in '70s and '80s police movies, so I think it pairs nicely with my M64-6. :)

For those not familiar with this gun, it is a non-NFA 14" barreled pistol-grip shotgun from Mossberg based on their 590 series guns. It requires no extra paperwork or a tax stamp. Here is a link:

As far as using one for defense work, Clint Smith of Thunder Ranch has a video demonstrating the proper technique:

I'll put this little "whippet gun" through its paces at the range and pattern some reduced-recoil buckshot with it and might end up using it for defense in my small bedroom. I could also see this being a great camper or RV gun, or even to have stowed away behind the seat of a pickup truck or in the trunk (if legal in your area).

Overall I'm excited to own one of these cool and unique guns and can't wait to shoot it! Take care my friends!

They are cool. I have yearned for a short barreled AOW shotgun for a while. When I found out about these, I figured it was time to pull the trigger. Remington 870's and me go back a long time. I have a Asylum Weaponry Gatekeeper II waiting to be picked up at my local gun shop. I'll let you know how it does after I wring it out. I've got plenty of 12ga. ammo that needs to be shot.

Coincidentally, I picked mine up today. I pre-ordered it about 3 months ago. I am waiting to get my hands on some of the Aguila mini-shells before I put it through its paces. Not too anxious to run full load buckshot through it.

I've never shot a Mossberg, maybe I'll try that.
I have a Winchester Defender 12ga. I put a pistol grip on it and it's a great shooter. I usually pack it around in the back of the truck. It's loaded with #4 BS. I wouldn't want to stand in front of it.

Did you get yours from Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore?

Was it in stock? If not, how long was the wait?
I've been thinking about getting one myself.
Not quite there yet.

I walked into the LGS to see if they could order one and if so, how much? Much to my surprise there was one hanging on the wall behind the counter. After sleeping on it, I went back a couple days and forked over the cash. Total wait time was about 15 minutes, apparently timing IS everything...

Looks like a nicely thought out and produced close quarters shotgun.
Might get one if they offer it in 16 gauge. Don't want over penetration inside the domicile. A 16 gauge should also be easier handling. Might serve as a good truck gun. At only 26.3" overall length I suspect a shoulder rig to be available soon.

I doubt you would ever see one in 16 ga- Secondary to availability of reduced recoil 12 ga, and all the options in defensive loads, while the 16 has next to nothing. Prob see a 20ga for the recoil sensitive. My wife has 16 ga SXS, semi, pump, still looking for lever and o/u for her.

A shoulder holster would be nice, will prob have a friend make one once I understand where it fits in my state laws. Be Safe,
