Compact 9s

LOL.... Rick,I did not mean to offend....

Let me clarify; by the time the CS9 came out I had ..... several..... 3913/14s and NL's..... a stash of magazines and several Spark's holsters.

My hope when I heard about the CS9 being added to the 39xx line...... I envisioned a slightly scaled down 3913 or maybe even a petite NL...... about the size of a PPK chambered in 9mm.

What we got instead, IMO ; was a scaled down 908...... a good gun..... but IMHO the plain stepsister (with a plump butt) of the 3913/14s

Like comparing a Stalingrad female sniper with Wonder Woman !!!!!!!!

:D

No, offense, but I would want to have the Stalingrad female sniper on my side - because she exists. You can wait for Wonder Woman while I am putting rounds downfield.:-)

The CS9 is a pocket size tank, it will be working long after a PPK has fired its 2,000 rounds and is retired to the museum where it can be admired for its grace and style.:-)

Not too mention the spotty reliability exhibited by every PPK Ive ever had contact with.

Unlike the CS9s bet your life reliability. Ive got over 800 assorted rounds through mine. Not even a hint of a malfunction. With any round I load it with.

While I like my 3914s a bit more, the CS9 fills a role. Especially the deep concealment "gun for when I cant have a gun" role. I love mine. Regards 18DAI

We finally disagree....................I'm talking about ... I was hoping for...... the sexy looks of a PPK vs. the pudgy little ........9mm we got

Keep in mind that my CS9 wears "Big Dog" style.......actually we need to stop referring to these custom Delrins as Big Dog grips since my friend Big Dog no longer produces them.

So I will say that my CS9 wears TerCgen custom Delrin grips. These change the whole feel and profile of the CS9 (and hopefully other CS guns in the future!). Thin, yet they are expertly fitted and afford a firm grip on this diminutive 9mm. TerCgen is a craftsman and his products are 18DAI approved! ;)

We are lucky to have such a talented fellow in our midst providing such an excellent and useful product.

So I guess that is why I'm not thinking of my CS9 as "chunky". Because thanks to TerCgen, its not anymore. :) Regards 18DAI

BAM-BAM I think we CAN agree that the 3913/3914NL and LS variants are the "sexiest" of the 39XX series guns. ;) Regards 18DAI

True.......too bad the CS9 didn't live up to it's pedigree .............

The CS9 ...coulda... shoulda..... been a better looking gun.

:D

As an aside my Interarms PPK has served me well since 1987.... carried more than shot...... but I'd estimate close to 1000 rounds through it over the years. It was 'replaced" as my primary concealed carry gun by my first 3913

LOL But Wonder Woman does exist ......... and as a Israeli citizen ....more likely than not served in the IDF!

Edit: checked Wiki....... 2 years IDF ..." I think the main reason I got the role in "Fast and Furious" ...... director wanted my knowledge of weapons"

A woman can be good looking and handle a weapon!!! No reason that weapon can't also be sexy !!!!!!!

:D

Is the gentleman who made the Delrin grips for the CS pistols going into business? I had a CS9 and ordered Big Dog grips - loved it! Like a fool looking for 'something else' I sold it and immediately regretted it. I purchased another last Spring and am at peace again. However, no slim fitting cut-down Delrins available. I did buy some KSD's, and while better than the Houge rubber grips, they are not quite the same. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not a S&W but a mighty fine and tight little pistol. And mine has been quite reliable after one trip home to Kimber: Kimber Solo. 5.5 inches, 17.2 ounces. No longer manufactured.

not my Solo:

Here's my track on the model:

Kimber Solo Carry 2.7 in. Barrel. Pistol in 9x19. Blue Book of Gun Values (37th Edition) indicates between $525 in 95% condition and $725 in 100% condition for this gun. I have 78 recorded prices for this model gun from $430 to $910 over a period of 3 Yrs 11 Mos ending June 15, 2017. The average price as of that date was $618. No refurbs, no refinishes, regular sights. Adjusted to two magazines. All represented as 95% or better. No distinction for engineering revision, if any, no special editions, no distinctions for box, papers, tools. Current or last MSRP is $815. The last 10 prices I have for this model since 5/24/2017 range from $450 to $849 averaging $585

The average used price seems to be decreasing.
