Does anyone NOT own a Yeti?

Nope, just not worth the cost. Believe people are telling themselves that it is so great. A $60 Coleman Extreme wheeled cooler is every bit as good. Lots of money saved to spend on other things.

Beautiful product-even better marketing.
I won some money playing poker and treated myself with a 40 that the wife and I use in the car for road trips and coming home from the grocery. It works great with dry ice for long trips.
HEAVY. Very prone to walking ff if left unattended. For small boats the Igloo makes more sense both weight wise as well as usable volume compared to outside dimensions. Trick with igloos is the top is hollow. Drill a bunch of holes in it and get a can of liquid foam and fill the top with it and you will increase the insulating capacity exponentially. The original roto molded ice chests were called Icey Tek and were made in Thailand. They were GREAT and revoloutionized off shore on deck ice boxes. We had a 450 that was on the big boat and was a wonderful fish cooler which could withstand a three day trip keeping fish cold until we returned to the dock. Got stolen over night while at the Venice Marina
I use a 96 Igloo on the big whaler which has the same outside dimensions as 65 quart Yeti. As far as the little whaler (13') I use an 18 quart Igloo to save weight and 5 gal bucket with ice and water as my fish box.
As far as the cups- I got a 32oz Yeti tumbler for fathers day several years ago and LOVE it. Much better than the Tervis tumblers. If I was to buy some more, I would buy Rtic as they are the same thing only 1/3 the price. Those 10 oz low boys make GREAT coffee cups and Hi-ball glasses-keeps the drinks COLD with less ice melt.
As far as the beer coozies-if you need a yeti or Rtic cozie to keep an open can of beer cold for several hours well you just ain't doing it right!!
Edited to add that I am intrigued about the soft sided coolers offered by Rtic. That 20 can size in camo looks about perfect for a blind bag Shop Camo RTIC SoftPak 20

Just came back from the local H-E-B superstore. They are selling both cups and ice chests that look just like Yetis but with another name (not RTIC). I don't remember what. But they are much less expensive than Yeti.

Then wife picked up a couple Yeti tumblers and they work great. Later found out about other 'branded' variations from WM and Costco, and have tried them now as well. All style work great for what they were intended for--keeping the cold drinks cold for a long period of time.

Our ones from Costco are probably the faves, since their lids had multiple uses (took Yeti awhile to come up with different lid options).

I don't. $300+ for a cooler... not really my thing. I might if I could, though. They're supposed to be really good.

My "old" Igloo coolers from the mid '80's do just fine for bringing back frozen and refrigerated foods from Sam's Club in Tyler, which is an hour's drive from home.
Our insulated coffee cups do just fine for the morning drive there.

My daughter gave me a Yeti can cooler for Christmas, and I must say it keeps beer/soda etc. nice and cold a long time, especially outdoors. Would I spend $350 for a picnic chest? Maybe the day after we hit the lottery, but for now the big old Igloo and smaller Colemans do everything we need. A big block of ice lasts longer than a bag of ice cubes.

Nope don't own a yeti. They are to much money for me. I do however have some of the Wal-Mart steel cups and insulated bottles. They work great and at a fraction of the price.

Have two of the large cups that were given to me and they are awesome. I fill them with ice and Coke about 7 in the morning and then pour water in it until 6 p.m. or so when I get home. They stay outside in my shop all day,no other cup I have ever tried lasted past noon in the Houston heat! Haven't needed to try any of the other brands of cups but I think my yetis live up to the hype. I use big Igloo coolers for hunting with big block ice but it takes two men to move them when they are full.

Is your car old enough to have a hood ornament? I use to see lots of folks heading west with those bags hanging on the front. The bags don't work as well if in humid regions.

I remember those. They were necessary in the desert when one traveled. Used to see them on a lot vehicles in TX, NM and AZ in the 50's and 60's before AC became std equipment.

I can't believe how popular these cups and ice chests have gotten, it seems like everybody has one now. I thought they were overrated and overpriced but I bought a couple of mugs anyway when the local gun store had the 32 ounce tumblers for $35 a piece. They're a good product but they're not any better insulated than some of the other cheap mugs we already had. We've had these Yeti's for a year or so now and they don't show any scratches so the steel is fairly high grade but I won't be buying anymore of them at that price. I guess I'm just a bit surprised so many people have the disposable income to buy them and especially the $350 ice chests. I never had any trouble with the cheap Coleman or Igloo ice chests from Walmart.

I dont own even one of their window stickers. Dont own any, dont want any.

So, somewhat inspired by this thread I decided to pick up a couple of tumblers (mugs?) for the wife and myself. I went with the RTIC instead of the Yeti because my favorite local gun shop had a huge selection of the RTIC products in stock. You guys will have to guess which one is for my wife.

R-U hunting OR drinking? Not to mention needing to pee however often. I say, pick 1 or the other & do it justice. ;)
Blind BAG not blind ICE CHEST-you can store lots of other stuff in there besides a few cans of diet coke. My blind bag now is my son'd old school back pack in camo-greatest thing ever-lots of room gor everything needed-for canned drinks I carry a couple of gallon zip locks-put in a couple or tree cans with some ice and you're good to go. Those soft side coolers are just the right size for everything you'd need on a morning hunt!
