$40... sounds like a bargain compared to taking the wife out to dinner and a movie which costs twice as much and all I get out of it is indigestion and a two-hour nap. :D

Did you guys see LoadOut accessories?
LoadOut 5-Gallon Bucket Accessories | YETI

Yes, but she mows the lawn. The only time my wife goes outside is to tell me she's on the way to Yoga.:D

Yeti coolers are THE most stolen thing around here. Bay boat owners put their rig on a trailer, drag the thousand pound Yeti monster cooler off the boat, or lock and chain it to the poling platform. Otherwise, some ratbag will steal it right after the sun goes down. $500 or more * poof! Gone.

Same thing around here happens to the construction crews and oil and gas workers. But I think the thieves all must keep them for themselves because I rarely [never] see a used one for sale at a discounted price from any source.

American capitalism at its' VERY best!!! After reading the copy, if you don't want to run out and buy a couple at $40 a pop something is wring with you. Don't forget to read the comments, some are priceless.
YETI's Latest Innovation Is... A Bucket?!

Call it a SHTF bucket and they'll sell a lot more

At H.D, we sell better ones-though most are an ugly orange-some are patriotic RWB in color-and some camo-from about $3.00 to about $5.00-bigger and better than the advertised junk.

BTW-if I start getting ads from them for clicking on this? can I sue anyone here? :D :D :D

Couldn't!! I went temporarily blind reading the prices you posted-so I had to scroll down to regain my vision.:D

About three years ago, after Halloween the local Wal-Mart had some orange plastic Halloween buckets (I guess for kids to use for trick or treat) marked down to 15 cents each. We bought a dozen of them. They are not much larger than one gallon, but are surprisingly sturdy. And they are big enough to be useful for all sorts of things such as cleaning the shower, car washing, storage (I have several which are full of empty brass), carrying around tools in, whatever. I don't need any Yeti buckets.

Been using buckets forever!
And I guess taking them for granted, really haven't given them a lot of thought.
I guess I must bought some along the way, but pretty sure I didn't pay $40.
Got a lot of them for free at construction sites.

I used to get 3 and 5 gallon buckets with lids at most grocery stores that have a bakery in them. They get their frosting in them. So if they make birthday cakes they have buckets. Sometimes they want $1.00 for them and most times I had to wash the crusty frosting out of them.

That type bucket is just the thing for camping and especially canoeing. Its sturdy, stackable, water tight and it floats! :D
Back when I was a scout leader we had a guy who worked in a restaurant. When we would get ready to go canoeing, he'd bring in a bunch of them for the first timers. We also had a bunch stored in our shed. Heck, I've still got 4 or 5 out in my camping gear. ;)
Just contact some local restaurants and they'll probably give you some.
But $40? nah, I don't think so.

Forty bucks?

That's sad.

Phil I read that and my brain committed suicide:( I could feel it explode. As far as the porta potty attachment for the bucket goes what works even better is a pool noodle. just slice it long ways, put a few crossways cuts in it so it bends easy and wrap it around the bucked and voila-:D

If'n ya'll don't use the pool noodle, you get a ring around a planet other than Saturn.

And they said P. T. Barnum is dead! I must be rich, as I have a couple of dozen plastic 5 gallon buckets and haven't got $40 invested in the lot. Every color of the rainbow and a few taller and shorter ones, too, in the 2, 3, and 6 gallon sizes plus a bunch of metric sizes. We use them for everything from birdbaths to tool carriers to planters and stepstools. One of the 6-gallon models makes a perfect deer stand post when topped with a camo padded seat from Tractor Supply.
