While "Saving Private Ryan" certainly has the intense D-Day beach scenes, the rest is pure Hollywood. I mean really, the US Army could plan, coordinate and successfully execute the most complex command and control operation of the war, but has to rely on a single patrol to blindly search half of Normandy, most of which was still under German control, to find a single guy? Seems to me that simple radio call to the 101st's division HQ and use of the existing chain of command would be a lot more successful.
Best Western for me? "Silverado", for all the Western cliches all rolled into a single movie, plus its John Cleese Monty Python line.
