If that's the case then yea it's probably a DAI watched a video on Youtube about this Sig and they dryfired it repeatedly w/o cycling the slide, like the Smith BG .380. Does that make it a double action?
Please post Link to the video. The P365 is double action with the striker partially tensioned as the slide is cycled, then fully cocked and released by pressing the trigger. I don't think they could Dry fire it without a partial slide cycling!I watched a video on Youtube about this Sig and they dryfired it repeatedly w/o cycling the slide, like the Smith BG .380. Not at $600 it's not. I'm a Sig fan as well, but I don't see people flocking to the LGS to buy a $600 gun when there are options just as good for considerably less.
OOC, may I ask why?I know I am in the minority, but I won't own another firearm without a manual safety.

Not sure. I always measure the slide without the safeties since that's what goes in my belt.I'm curious if the 1" measurement is really 1". Although they call it a "modified" double-stack magazine, it's still a double-stack. Maybe 1" width around the slide, but the frame/grip area??? A G26 or MPc 1.0 are around 1.2" wide and the Shield is less than 1" ...
Now they could ruin it and price it at $600 which would be the normal Sig thing to do.

Practically the difference is none existent. But if you look at the picture of the outlines the Shield rear sits barely behind the Sig rear sights. The new SIG is a nice looking pistol, but the 5.8" length takes it off my radar. For me, sight radius is a very important part of practical accuracy, especially with small guns. My Shield 9 is 6.1" long with a sight radius of 5.2". The Shield's sight radius is actually very long for its total length because the rear sight is all the way on the back edge of the slide. I haven't seen any measurement for the SIG, but based on the length of 5.8" and the fact that the rear sight is a little forward of the slide's back edge, I'm guessing that the sight radius could be a half inch shorter than the Shield. In a small gun, that's a big difference.
