Hello there,
I was a member a few years ago and seen how CPTBeaker made the Delrin Dust Cover for his M&P22. I finally got around to making my own so wanted to share in case anyone wants to make their own as well. I find mine to be easier and simpler to make and you don't need springs or a magnet to hold it closed.
It is still in the rough cut stage for fitting. I ended up taking out the spring and is now held closed by gravity. The great thing it is awesome for left hand shooters as the door has weight so the brass is reflected down.
It is held on for now with the 3m tape. I plan on using plastic glue with the final form. The pins are finishing nails with the head holding them in. I did have to cut them down to 3/4" on both sides.
