Do we have a consensus on posting pictures?

Ever since Photobucket changed its policy about 3rd party posting of pictures, I've not been posting pictures on discussions threads. It appears that my options are limited: pay Photobucket their ridiculously high fees (which I refuse to do); find another hosting site that is more reasonable; or mention in my thread that I have pictures and allow others on the thread to reach out if they want access to them.

I'd like to know what others have chosen as a solution so that I might try them out.

I'm using ''IMGUR". Any bad stuff about this service? It's simple to use.

I think you got everything except how ugly the color is!
If I buy a car that costs as much as a house, that won’t be that color!

You can have them any colour you want. Even in black (Ford joke). :D

I use Flickr. Mainly because I've had my account for a long time and have a lot of things there. I also post some pics using Tapatalk because its easy and nowadays I take all my pics with the phone.

I have included photos directly with my posts since day 1
and never paid photo bucket or anyone else anything.
Use the search function if you need to find out how to post
photos. Lots of willing helpers here on the forum.

Photobucket has sure ruined many great threads from just about every forum. The 1911 forums have some of the best information available for builds and mods but, where they're missing Photobucket pictures, the threads are mostly useless.

I use Imgur. It takes a while to figure it out but after the learning curve it works great. No pop up ads yet.

I still don't understand why you can't just upload photos directly from your computer...full size, not thumbnails. Other sites allow it, without going through 3rd parties or other rigmarole. Or maybe it's just me...simpleton.

I really like Postimg.org. It’s been the easiest to use and I’ve tried a lot of free ones. Nothing like a big picture to grab someone’s attention!

I'm also a postimage.org fan. I went there from the "photobucket" disaster, and find it much easier to use than photobucket ever was. so quick and so easy. The learning curve was just a couple posts.
