Now that it has wound up for 2018, I have had a lot of trouble hearing the players. It could be that I'm 78 and have a little hearing problem I have the TV turned up very loud and I still have trouble, the wife does too. I thought I could mute it and read the captions and keep up that way but they were so small and fast I just turned the sound back on. We really like the show but they seem to mumble like the lady cop in "Longmire" what I am wondering is it just us or do some of you forum members have trouble understanding the dialog? NOTE I have no trouble hearing the cuss words they dont seem to mumble those words. Thanks Jeff

I made note to listen for this last night on the final episode, and I agree. My TV has an equalizer, so I played with boosting some of the ranges, and it made it better. It's like they have handkerchiefs over the mikes, sounds muffled.

No matter how clearly they enunciate the cuss words I'm not going to hear them because that show won't be on in my house.

Do you have a soundbar attached to your TV? If not, they are a big improvement over TV speakers and many have adjustments to improve dialog.

I'm the guy who started that other thread complaining about not hearing the dialoge before, yet everything else was real loud. But we watched the last one last night and for once it was OK. We still used closed caption just in case.
Some good turns in the story. "Kayce" looks like he's going full time into being a badazz enforcer for his dad. Good. That cute wrangler chick they hired was a great touch. She instantly let them know she's as tough as them. And did they REALLY hang that guy for keeps? I doubt it. And how dumb kidnapping him on a public street in a "Yellowstone" truck with cameras everywhere nowadays.

Wyatt Burp I missed your post but you summed it up much better than I did so I guess I wont be looking at hearing aids. Jeff

I just read the threads on this show but have never found it.

What network/channel is it on?? I have DTV.

I prefer the real thing, as opposed to watching Kevin Costner have another try at acting his way out of a paper bag.

There are two simply outstanding multi-episode documentaries about Yellowstone. If you love Yellowstone...the whole vision of Yellowstone that you've probably had in your head since you were a kid...these are films you must watch.

One is titled Epic Yellowstone, and it's shown on The Smithsonian Channel. Narrated by Bill Pullman, it will be rebroadcast starting June 26. It's an almost flawless presentation.

The other is titled Yellowstone Live, and it's on Nat Geo. It will return on June 23 at 10:00 p.m. ET. This four-part (so far) documentary is appropriately described as an event. The photography in this is almost beyond belief, beyond the capability of the human eye to take it all in. It's a huge understatement to refer to this one as "outstanding".

I think Nat Geo used something like 34 cameras to photograph Yellowstone and its wildlife in real time.

Watch either of these...I don't believe you'll be disappointed.

Oh, and being somewhat hearing impaired, myself, I use the closed captioning feature, but don't combine it with the "mute" function.

I'm watching it on Paramount on the Roku. I also share the audio difficulties. A lot more murdering than "white man vs native interests" which I originally thought was the plot. Half way through season 1, I hope to finish before 2 drops. Joe

I love it. That droopy eyed redhead is always fun to watch, and add in Ryan Bingham (singer) and Cole Hauser (son of Wings) and you’ve got a winner. Much better than AMC’s The Son.
