My recent order of "Armscor Cal 357mag FMJ 158 gr Bullet Heads"
are actually 125 grain.

BE SAFE, Check your order!

I generally weigh every new batch of projectiles before I load them, but the size difference between 125 grainers and 158s is enough to see with one's eye. Add to that, charge rates are quite a bit lower for heavier bullets than for lighter bullets, thus even a max load for a 158 grainer would be a start load for 125s. Still, a bit frustrating to get something other than what you want. Was it a bulk order from a distributor that may have been labeled wrong or was it manufacturer packaging/labeling?

Got a message from the OP that the bullets were bulk and repackaged from a vendor. He did not tell me who the vendor was. So it's not really an "Armscor bullet alert", but a alert about an unknown vendor. Hopefully he will return and tell us who the vendor is, so we can know who to watch out for.

There is a pretty significant difference in the lengths of 125 and 158 grain 357 bullets, so it should not be too difficult to tell if you have the wrong weight. It would be really considerate if 76Y40 would divulge the name of the vendor as this is an error by the vendor, not Armscor.

That is what I stated in my reply to his PM. His reply back, was that indeed it was not any fault of Armscor, but still was reluctant to say who the Vendor was. Seems pretty strange to me, to make an issue out of warning us and then refusing to tell us who we should be warned about.

The vendor contacted me today and promised to make arrangements for return shipping.

Someone, somewhere, at some time, seems to have made an error of some kind.

And probably UPS, USPS or FedEx was slow and screwed everything else up!;)
