I never was much of a coffee drinker because I don't care much for hot drinks. Most all I drink is iced and actually I think coffee and tea have more flavor when it is ice cold than when it is hot. I have taken a liking to iced coffee now.

I used to use Folgers but recently switched to Hills Bros and I think the HB is less bitter than the Folgers. For tea I use bulk crushed spearmint tea leaves. I brew crushed Stevia leaves in with the coffee or tea in the coffee maker.

I was wondering what you use for coffee and tea. I haven't yet tried buying fresh beans to grind up.

Sounds like you'd appreciate grinding your own. Medium roast Colombian is my favorite, I get it from these folks. They really know their stuff.
Shop - Springtown Roasters
You can grind and make it like regular coffee, chill it down in the fridge and it's really smooth. I like a bold coffee, so I'm big on the dark roast Colombian. Costa Rican is pretty mild.
For tea I've been a Twinnings Irish Breakfast every since I left Australia and can't get the tea they grow in North Queensland Tablelands...

I like to use the instant coffee. I used Folgers instant crystals for years,
but early this year I just got kinda tired of it. I tried almost every brand
and flavor I could find. Finally settled, for now anyway, on the following:
I heaping teaspoon of of Taster's Choice Columbian and 1 heaping tea-spoon
of Nescafe Clasico & add boiling water to a 16 oz. cup. The Taster's
Choice is also by Nescafe.

PS The one cup in the morning and that's it for the day.

Folgers for coffee (fill the basket on the coffee maker please!), and for hot tea I like Earl Grey. Sweet tea is Lipton's although the wife and I have switched to decaf Lipton's lately. The absolute best coffee I ever had was in Germany! I don't know how they did it, but it was strong without being bitter and it would peel paint if spilled.

We buy ground coffee and brew in a Mister Coffee every AM. My wife varies brands. I drink it black. Like most Americans, I like it weak, and drink plenty of it.

While staying in Japanese hospitals in 2017, since hot water was readily available, but coffee was not, I brought instant coffee with me. I was amazed at how much better instant coffee tastes nowadays compared to 40 ~ 50 years ago...

I fast one day a week for weight control. On those days I drink coffee in the morning, and rooibos, Tiger and other herbal teas in the afternoon and evening.

I roast my own coffee at home. Yep.......single origin green coffee from all over the world.....Kenya, Columbia, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Sulawesi, Rwanda, El Salvador, Tanzania, etc. About half the cost of the stale stuff at my local grocery store. Taste wise, there's really no comparison to the store bought stuff I used to drink.

I buy the green, unroasted coffee beans from an internet supplier called "2 Cups of Joe". Nice people.

I know, I know, I'm weird. (perhaps that's why I fit in here on the forum?)

If you like iced coffee, try making some cold brew.Get some beans and give them a coarse grind.Make a few bundles with paper coffee filters and let it soak overnight in a carafe of good water in the fridge. No bitterness at all.

I use a machine.....kind of like a programmable toaster oven with a rotisserie inside. Beans are placed in a small cage type contraption that rotates inside the oven. You can also roast them in a cast iron pot while stirring continuously. Actually, I think the coffee roasted outside in cast iron tastes as good or better than the stuff I do in the machine. (if that's possible)

Behmor 1600AB Plus – Behmor

I can roast a pound of beans in around 20 minutes, not counting cool down.

I enjoy tasting the different coffees from around the world, and I won't pay $3.00 or more for a cup of Starwars coffee that tastes burned and stale. I can buy a pound of green coffee beans for 3 bucks.

Who knows when that store coffee was roasted? How long has it been in that can on the shelf? What's the origin of the coffee beans inside that old can? Nobody knows....not even Juan Valdez. It tastes awful compared to freshly roasted coffee, believe me.

I drink locally roosted coffee.
I Prefer African. Just bought 2 pounds of Kenya.
Norm, my rooster doesn't roost lighter than a Full City.
And only buys Arabica Coffee.
He thinks that you get the best and full flavor with the darker roosts.
Don't you just hate opinionated people?

PS: he's also got a bunch of different teas.
Not being a sipper, I don't pay that much attention.
The coffee selection is posted up on the wall, the tea list is printed.

I drink a LOT of ice tea, and my preferred is Luzienne in the family sized tea bags. I brew them in my Mr Coffee ice tea maker. Most coffee tears my gut up but I have found that the better grades go easier on me. I only drink a few cups a week so I get Edgar's Signature Blue Mountain Peaberry Blend from bluemountaincoffee.com in whole bean. I have a stainless manual grinder with ceramic blades and I grind it a cup at a time. Not cheap but I remember working it out to about .50c a cup. Better coffee for a tenth of what Starbucks charges.

Not a coffee drinker, but I do like tea. I'll often have some form of green tea in the morning. My favorite is from Stash Tea, it's a green-and-white tea blend. I'm also a fan of Bigelow's Green Tea with Lemon. In either case, I usually add some honey to it. In the evening, I'll sometimes drink chamomile tea or raspberry tea.

I guzzle coffee - don't care what brand it is as long as it's hot and black. Tea is iced, unsweetened. Even vending machine coffee is acceptable.

Folgers , Maxwell House Regular or French roast, store brand tea ok for me unsweet ice or hot tea sometimes in the winter. Don't buy truck stop or gas station swill rather have a Monster Energy Salted Carmel or Mean Bean
