Yesterday most of my friends I saw at our weekly Motorcycle Breakfast asked me who I liked in the Super Bowl. This morning a few friends asked me what I thought of the game. My answer to both of those questions were, " I truly don't have any interest at all in Football and have no idea who is even playing". I did not watch the game and this morning I did not even look at who was playing or who won. Seriously..... I am NOT a Sports fan at all and even if I was, after how the NFL has acted over the past 3 years I wouldn't have watched the game any more regardless.

Am I the ONLY ONE here that has no interest in Football??

I rarely watch NFL games any more though I use to watch the Dallas Cowboys and nearly every year I'm not crazy about either team in the superbowl. My men's group from church had a cook out and we grilled burgers and brats, and fried some catfish and french fries on a beautiful 76 degree day then went inside the church and watched the game. A lot of guys were Chiefs fans and they were really thrilled when they came from behind and won so I was happy for them. It was a pretty enjoyable way to cap off a Sunday.

No your not! As of this time I do not know who won or will it bother me if I never find out.

I don't , only watched the game for the commercials and they stank except for a very few.
My only real interest in football was when my son played in high school, in fact one of his former teammates is part of the KC team. That was another reason why I watched. ;)

Some stats that amazed me:

Ticket cost in 1967: $15. Ticket cost 2020: $2500.

30 second commercial time price 1967: $75000. 30 second Commercial price 2020: $5.6 million!

No inflation..yea..right. Personally I would not go to a game if they paid me the $2500...

unless Janet was going to flash again...:)

While I did watch the Superbowl game, I generally never watch any sports anymore. Players behavior on and off the field have turned me off. Money and MORE MONEY have ruined sports for me. College sports are almost as bad, only it's the schools and administrators that make the money. With new NCAA rules that I believe have been adopted, the "student" players are now allowed to be paid for their endorsements. While I believe that the players have a right to be paid for their talents and year round training, The amounts of money that some of these players make is ridiculous for what is essentially entertainment. The wages for jobs that are absolutely essential (teachers, military personnel, law enforcement/fire personnel) are shockingly low by comparison.
OK, I'll get off my soap box now.

I lost my taste for all pro sports about three years ago. Was never interested in baseball as it is so boring, despite coming from a family of baseball nut cases. I do still watch college football, far more interesting than pro, but under the new rules, it will go the way of pro football very quickly and become just another money game. I wasn't going to watch the Super Bowl, but my wife is gone for a couple of weeks and a friend invited me to his place to watch the game, drink beer, and eat pizza, which I did. The last five minutes were good. Commercials generally were not. The only one I had really wanted to see was the Hummer 1000 HP electric pickup truck, but it was just a brief teaser with no pictures. Did see Bloomberg's anti-gun campaign ad, happy he paid $11 Million for nothing.
