Weird laws in Kentucky;

Throwing eggs at a public speaker can result in up to a year in prison.

A person is considered “sober” until he “cannot hold onto the ground.” (I'm keeping that one in my back pocket, just in case)

In Lexington, it is illegal to carry an ice cream cone in your pocket. Why?

It is illegal to fish with a bow and arrow. (but we keep records for the largest of each species taken with bow & arrow) I actually hold the one for Channel Catfish (true story)

In Frankfort, it is a crime to shoot off a policeman’s tie. (what if you miss? Is it still illegal to try?)

It is illegal for a woman to wear a bathing suit on a highway unless she is escorted by two police officers or is armed with a club. (I should put all my retirement funds in a "Club Store", for bikini wearing customers only.)

Good grief. No wonder my dad's family left! (Mind you, things might have been less stringent in 1910.)

If Montana and North Dakota stopped raising Durum wheat the world would have to drop pasta (as we now know it) production drastically as it is the preferred grain for pasta production and between the two states the produce appox 90% of this variety

Harrison lived in Ohio when elected. He's ours. Just like Abraham Lincoln. Born in Kentucky but living in Illinois when elected. They call Illinois the Land of Lincoln. I guess that puts Ohio ahead 8 to 7.
