Whoa! Can it be that the very same people who are calling for draconian law enforcement measures all in the name of safety are the very same folks who just a few weeks ago had a literal cow about their civil liberties when asked to wear a mask in Wally-Mart during a pandemic?

Yes it is.
Call me a whacko, I just have a serious problem with an armed, mob kidnapping an entire neighborhood and holding it for ransom.
Paint it or call it whatever you want, but this is exactly what is happening.
Maybe it is my redneck roots showing, but it is how we roll out here in fly over country.

Did you also have a problem with an armed mob trying to force their way into the Michigan statehouse while open-carrying assault style weapons so they could yell at and intimidate the lawmakers and legislators over the requirement to stay at home to prevent the spread of a deadly virus, whose death toll today has already exceeded 110,000+?

Did anybody call for marshall law, curfews, draconian police powers of arrest/detainment, and the use of chemical agents and other crowd dispersal methods when armed protestors marched in many capital cities over the insult of being asked to wear facial coverings when out in public?

Where was the National Guard then? The mounted officers? The riot gear? Why wasn't tear gas deployed?

The protesters today want nothing more than to end unequal treatment under the law; the openly armed protestors of last month wanted to be free of the tyranny of wearing a bandana.

This is a no win situation for anyone in power and a win win situation for participants. It is designed with that in mind and not really a new approach. You go in and try to take control, you are a (choose and enter adjective of choice here) you don't you are a (choose and enter adjective of choice here). The organizers know this and will use it to advance whatever agenda they have. It divides us as it is doing here on the forum. An otherwise group of like minded individuals is jabbing at one another as a result of their behavior. If you step back and think about it you realize how effective it is. Like going negative in politics, everyone criticizes the action but it works. The unfortunate reality is that it will never be solved, because people are different. We can always work at getting better, but we won't ever reach perfection. Might seem like a pessimistic view, but I think it is just realism.

They've already put up a wall (barricades) themselves and declared themselves a country. Also have armed guards checking people coming in.

I watched Ingraham last night or night
before and while her report was rife with
hot words, the pictures she showed were
pretty benign.

Tonight Yankee Marshal will be providing
a report on his pro-gun site.

Watch the 6th video. Raz admits he is carrying, legally, but carrying and telling other armed people to move to the barricades.
Had to search for a bit to locate the video from a source other than Fox, but the video is legit.
We can have divergent interpretations of what we see and hear, but to insinuate there is nothing wrong happening in Seattle is "a willful suspension of disbelief" to quote Hillary Clinton.
Get outside the mainstream media and you will find actual residents of the CHAZ complaining about having to provide ID to the guards to prove they belong there. Seattle Police are receiving reports of businesses being charged fees by the protestors to operate within the "zone". I doubt the Seattle Police are lying about that.

Seattle Cap Hill area, around
11 p.m. Seattle time.

Lots of young people walking
about, graffiti at a lot of places.

Restaurants open. Glass at stores
intact.

Dozens of people walking their dogs.

Street entertainment.

Reports most people, as it gets very late,
just go home elsewhere in the city.

Numerous parked cars near entrances and
within. No damage to them.

No guards at the so-called barriers. No ID
checks.

And no guns to be seen.

Oh, c'mon. If I didn't know better, I'd think some of you want this to turn ugly. This is SEATTLE. Home of Hempfest and naked parades. The city council is publicly spouting political correctness and secretly hoping it will go away on its own. Either it will, or they'll eventually have to send in the police (kindly and gently, of course). In the mean time, it's business as usual in the Emerald City.
