I will always watch those two but will add "The African Queen" and "HATARI".
You love Sean Connery?
Or is it Alec Baldwin?
More chicks in the movie, maybe?Other than that what could make someone want to watch it again?
All I can say is where did the writer get some of his info from.......

When the book was first released, Clancy got that very question from the Navy.
Great film, and I have to see it whenever it airs. A few of the changes made from the book I'm not greatly fond of, but the story has to be made to run in two hours and not have unexplained holes in it.. I think Clancy had a lot to do with the screenwriting on that one to keep it close to the book. Some of his later books---->film had some significant differences that were much worse (The Sum Of All Fears was one of them).
The book was excellent.
The movie was very good, but the book was better IMHO.
I am one that has to have captions on I guess, I miss to many small details otherwise.
The chorus the Russian submariners sing as they leave port is really good too.
Among the many great things about The Hunt for Red October, I think its greatest achievement is showing us how subtitles should be handled. The Russian scenes open with the characters speaking Russian, with subtitles. In short order, the characters begin speaking English . . .
Unlike Narcos or Narcos Mexico, or The Passion of the Christ, movies that you don't watch as much as read. You're in Mexico, or Judea. We know you're in Mexico or Judea, and you're really speaking Spanish or Aramaic. If I have to read a movie, I may as well stick to the book.
Rant over . . .
these two are my eternal favorites and get played through each time i click on them.I can't count how many times I saw Hunt for Red October,.
Same goes for Shawshank Redemption.
