Get your prostates checked for cancer. Please at any age this can happen. Catch it early will save your life.

For women.
Get a breast exam. Again please get checked for breast cancer. Early detection is the key.

I know my misses had breast cancer three times. That's over 20 years ago she still with me may god bless her little heart.
I'm a prostate cancer survivor so far so good.

Stay on top of your health. Even if you feel ok things might not be perfect. Godbless

Remember having cancer doesn't mean we're dying if caught in time. I never gave dying one thought of worrying about it. Modern medicine is unbelievable. Today's proceedures is way different from decades ago.
Never give up the fight.

My PSA went from mid 3s to 7.5! A couple of years later and lots of testing along with several biopsy and my PSA is back down to the low3s. My urologist said he has no idea why it suddenly shot up but he is 100% certain it was not because of cancer.

I agree 100% guys and gals get yourselfche led on a regular basis!!!

And don't forget colon screening too.
My Dad never had one until his Doctor guilt tripped him into it in his late 70's.
That Doc probably saved his life !
He had an advanced case and had to have 6 inches removed.
I have been getting scoped every three years since age 50.
A few polyps every time.
Gotta take care of ourselves.

I get checked every year! When I turned 62 the doc said the CDC guidelines said I would die from just about anything else before PC would get me. I have him check anyway! Because I think you going to be seeing people in their One Hundred Teens soon. After all 125 is the new 110!

I had a client that was a Viet Vet. His VA doc was a woman from Southwest Asia, and didn't believe she should be touching men! After a service call one day he as if I would answer a personal question. "What are all these bumps in my armpit?" I got him to a better doc at the VA, 2 days later, but he was dead 6 months later!

When I told my doc, "I look forward to him touching me", I explained about my Client. He and I are still appalled, 9 years later, that any doctor in America would let that happen. But it could! So don't skip any of the less fun parts of the exam!!! ITB

My psa jumped from 4.1 to 8.3. A biopsy proved it to be aggressive prostate cancer. They started those hormone shots and radiation right away. It wasn't fun. But I'm still here for a while anyway.

I worked way too hard I didn't save anything for retirement. My body is wornout. Don't wear yourself out. Stay on top of your health.

Back in 2011 I was given a less than a 15% to live for 5 more years.

My scans have been clean for 3 years this past Sept.

I go in tomorrow for another 4 month follow up. Blood work, brain MRI, CT-scan neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis. Then I get to see my surgeon and my oncology doctor.

I'm going to lose another good friend to cancer here in the next few months.

I don't hate cancer for what it has done to me.
I HATE cancer for what I've seen it do to others.

Even with PSA checks since age 37 I ended up with an aggressive prostate cancer at age 71. It has ruined my life. Surgery didn't get it all and radiation caused excessive bleeding. Finally got over that after several treatments in lower gut. Dr. told me without regular PSA to catch it, I'd be gone. A PSA is just a simple blood draw, why not get one annually?

Amen to getting it checked frequently. Catch it soon enough and it can be controlled, perhaps defeated. Catch it late, with good docs, luck, and prayers, you've still got a fighting chance.

Stage IV, Gleason 10 in 2017. Inoperable. Hormone treatment, chemo and radiation. Alive and well today.

as a triple cancer survivor so far.. at age 54... get EVERYTHING checked..
my three are Colon-rectal cancer... lung cancer... and aggressive skin cancer... father died from prostate cancer... insist on screening and start early... I fought for over 2 years for a colonoscopy... doctor kept saying you are not 50 yet.. he didn't want to fight the insurance company... was diagnosed at 48 with stage 3B rectal cancer... I am a NED currently... but my scrambled insides make life a terrible challenge... early detection would have probably saved me from my "special " life..
so get checked...

Since having pc it's been down hill ever since. But my muscles in my arms are slowly coming back lately. I just deal with it.

For some reason I think we all have prostate cancer it's dormant and a low psa number. They told me prostate cancer starts at a psa number of 4.1. So I'm thinking under 4.1 it's dormant.

Seen my doctor today he's talking a new right hip, two new knee replacements. He's nuts my kidneys are failing. Why go through the pain and grief? I'm 70 yo. I don't get it.

Had the old style prostate cancer in 1971. It messed up a lot of things but I am still alive. Two melanoma surgeries and I don't know how many skin cancer surgeries.
My last colon check was in 2013 and my Gastro Doc said no more unless there is a problem because as the colon ages it becomes to easy to puncture.

I haven't had a prostate in about 5 years; had severe BPH, so I had it reamed out. I get a yearly checkup, but so far it ain't growed back.

I'm 60 with cancer in the family so doctors keep check on me with annual exams and PSA test. Only had one very small polyp last colonoscopy so won't need another 2025.

ancient-one - I have a similar story. I was having some bowel troubles
and told my Dr. it had been a long time since I had a colonoscopy. He
told me they don't do them after age 80 because of potential puncture
problem.

Used to do all that, but my warranty expired a while back, if the testing don't put me in a tailspin, any treatment would.
