Oh yeah! Used to buy slabs of it on the avenue. And don't forget their Jelly Rings.

Halvah is available for delivery, but if your out and about, I've gotten it at the local Harris Teeter.

The P-51 was a truly incredible Aircraft. This is Ridge Runner, on display at Barksdale AFB, LA. 11 kills to it's credit. Never mind the guy in the fore ground. His fiancé was taking the picture.

My first “house” as a newborn was a Quonset hut like this.

This was my birth home in 1953. Behind it was a quanset hut buried underground which served as a bomb shelter for the surrounding families.

The home still stands and is currently occupied. The bomb shelter has been removed.

The timber company that did this used larch for the yellow when they replanted. Today was the first time I've seen it.

That part of Oregon is fantastic, as is the rest of it. Unfortunately, all we hear about these days are the riots in Portland. i wish I had more pictures of my travels around the State.

The Cross Bronx Expressway just north of the George Washington bridge being built in the 60’s. Most everything going to New England and back to points south via I95 passes through.
We used to call it the Cross Bronx parking lot and it still is, three lanes worth. It was antiquated as soon as it was finished.
