Received A Case Of 5.56 Today

Having exactly zero rounds of 5.56 or, 9mm and no plans to acquire either, I never paid attention to prices of either.

Now, I'm just curious as to the average cost of 5.56 NATO surplus before the current craziness, say in 2019 or 2018.

Ballpark is fine. Thanks!

Rob

All of the cases of ammunition that I have been ordering at really good prices over the past few years are safely stashed away, ready for use. All things considered it is a pretty good feeling.

I agree and made it a priority to have 10x more primers than I ever dreamed I would need. Primers are always an easy trade for bullets and powder.
I still keep a few boxes of factory ammo around because some training facilities do not allow handloads.

When I paid $450 for a 1000 rounds of 9mm Blazer Brass I thought that I was a little nuts. I was nutty to not have bought three cases. I don't think we will ever see it much lower if even that low. I am concerned with the regulations that can adversely affect both the ammo and gun manufactures and in turn us.

Ammo will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no Ammo.

The Furry Freak Brothers said someting very similar about another 'necessity' back in the 60's, but the setiment holds true enough for both.

The cases stacked in the basement are worth more than any amount of $$$ I could get for them.

I can't say that I was able to get 1,000 rounds of anything today but I did trade a guy something I didn't need for 100 rounds of Tula 5.56 ammo that I "might" need some day.

The trade possibilities here are fascinating... :D

Was checking out various ammo places online. Lousy $10 winchester white box 9mm was selling for 36 bucks without tax and shipping.Frank

I'm good to go on ammo for the foreseeable future.

Just figured out that I have 2000 rounds of. 44 Magnum reloads from my late brother.

I think I'll start using them up and save the other stuff.
