My Favorite Single Action Revolvers

Beautiful SA’s in this thread. My only one at the moment is kind of pedestrian compared to most.
Ruger flat top convertible, one of the Lipsey first run. .45acp/.45 Colt. It has been worked over by Ron Power. It is very accurate with the .45app cylinder. Pretty much 1 ragged hole rested at 18yds.
So like most dual cartridge revolvers it is mostly used with one cylinder. 😎

My Son is a Colt SSA fan so I’ll post these two. Both from the ‘20’s I believe. My favorite is this .32-20, it is still very accurate and an easy enjoyable revolver to shoot. The notches in the grip are interesting, wish it could talk be a good story.

His .45 colt with real MOP grips. Also a good shooter.

I really like the color of the Ivory stocks on the Colt. Is that from age or from artificial coloring like tea?

Totally accidental, gun was stored for a summer in an oily rag and the ivory turned color. Always have been glad the stocks didn’t go brown or green.

That's a beautiful USFA example in an unusual configuration. I also have an unfired example of their art. This is a "pre-war"-configured .45 Colt caliber gun. It was made under the Colt dome in 2006. The case hardening was done by Doug Turnbull. In its time, USFA made what many consider the finest replicas available, even surpassing the originals in quality. This gun replicates my maternal grandfather's Colt; unfortunately that gun was lost forever when he died and my grandmother disposed of it in an unknown fashion.
