*&^%*** Government

I don't mind taxes. We need infrastructure,we need fire depts, police depts, the military, bribes for foreign govts, money for the poor (desperate people start revolutions, etc, etc, etc. the trouble I see is the working and middle class are easy to collect from, the rest..not so much..

A guy traded me some chickens, a cow, and four bottles of Scotch for some antibiotics the other day. All under the radar, of course. We shall survive.

The oldest system of trade there is. The barter system. It works and the guvment gets nothing. The best of all worlds. I love my country, but the government sucks.

Edited: I hope that isn't considered politics, just my honest feeling after a round of golf and a couple of belts.

Cash is on the way out. With all of the electronic transactions banks do, there is an "electronic trail" of the money. As soon as cash is gone, the Gov't. will be able to track all of the spending/buying of people using credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers, etc. I guess the swap/barter process will be in full swing. "I'll trade you a box of ammo for that box of vegetables."

Cash will never go away.

It'll be around. It might not be much use if a business you want to deal with won't take it, or it creates a nuisance to yourself to do so.

Cash is an expensive headache for businesses.

I recently stopped in at a popular fast food place. It was stand in a line of 20 people for a register or a line of 2 for the digital kiosk. Now the government knows I bought four Happy Meals.

You can always go somewhere else, while there is still that choice. Some areas have banned cash-less stores on the grounds it discriminates against the poor that lack digital resources. They'll find a fix for that.

Funny how we've mostly all accepted cashless transactions, without giving much thought that we're all paying probably the equivalent of an additional 2% tax on everything we buy, as venders need to charge a couple percent more to pay the card fees. I wonder what our individual average annual expense is because of those fees, I'd bet it's several hundred dollars.

I just bought a 26' RV trailer, great deal for 6k in cash. My last 2 cars and Polaris Ranger cash.

But cash will have to go. The nation debt increase during the previous 4 year administration would weigh 175,500,000# and make about 3,900 semi trailer loads if printed in $100 bills

$1,000,000 (million)in $100 weights about 22.5#, so a billion$ would weigh 22,500 and a trillion$= 22,500,000# times 7.8=175,500,000# divided by 45,000# per semi trailer

Think what kind of a toilet paper shortage printing that would cause

Speaking of Barter-
A while back now Barter Companies we're all the Rage and I was a very active member of one.
Then the IRS started requiring them to issue Earnings Statements.
Killed off Barter faster than AK's!
Example - I buy some land at a Tax Auction for $100.
Sell it for $1,000 Barter Units (Dollars).
Now I have $1,000 of Taxable Income but I don't have a $1,000 cash!
Best Brag Deal I ever pulled off?
Black Powder Rifles.
80 of them.
Bought with Barter and converted directly to Green Folding Money!

That must be one heck of a watch list.;)

You will be put on the no fly list for putting ketchup on you McFish... oh no...

And with enough Golden Dollars in my pockets I would probably need cable suspenders to hold my pants up.

Government never cuts spending and lives on a budget like the rest of us.

We're getting too much of this ****. Something has to snap, probably us. We have got to get a legal voting system and throw these people out of office who are causing this. The media are not going to help. They're right in the middle of it. I just don't understand the stupidity of the people voting these morons into office. They're getting hurt by this **** also. Why can't they see this?

...I just don't understand the stupidity of the people voting these morons into office. They're getting hurt by this **** also. Why can't they see this?

And that is the million dollar question.

Apparently over half the voting lemmings this time believed the lies and baloney and just wanted to feel like they're part of the winning group, even if said group leads this Country off a cliff.

...go figure.

We don't need any more taxes to support Bidens pie in the sky trillion dollar bills. Everything has gone up in price, food, gasoline. manufactured goods, services. He keeps saying that we as the middle class won't pay taxes. Meanwhile we are paying more taxes on the stuff we buy on top of all the stuff we need. Frank

That's a biggie IMO, retail pays more for fuel to get products on the shelves so naturally they have to pass the costs on to us.

Weren't we pretty much fuel independent as a nation not that long ago?
