Good Morning!!!!!!

I hope and pray that you had a great Thanksgiving celebration, full of family, friends, good food and hugs!

It's recovery time around the old Postage Stamp! I just enjoyed a couple of homemade biscuits with fig preserves dribbled on them. There is nothing that I can think of that is as good, and certainly not better, for breakfast.

We, (the family) gathered at our oldest Daughter's home to celebrate Thanksgiving together. I had a great time seeing loved ones and missing others, and eating too much. I'm glad I checked to see if there were Tums available just in case......

Watched the Iron Bowl on the radio yesterday. It was a barn burner right to the end. The team I root for, (Auburn), lost, but it was a great defensive battle to the very end. The MBH is a Alabama fan, and she was happy with the results. I can't remember if it has ever been such a hard fought game. Anyway, after it was over, I listened to some good music on the net and then had a good night's sleep.

I did not stop thanking God for his blessings after our lunch Thursday, because I have many blessings in my life that reach far and beyond just one day of celebration, and/or a football game, you probably do to.

So, since every day is a day of Thanksgiving, I thank Him for the great gift that He gave, and family, friends, this forum, and the "Every Day Blessings" that He pours out upon me every day.

Enough!!

Gotta get ready to attend Church and publicly speak of His great blessings.

Have a blessed Sabbath, I insist on it!!

Leon

Good morning everybody. We had snow here up on the shores of Lake Erie but now it seems to have melted off. My brother and I have been spending the Thanksgiving season at the lakeview house that our dad had built. I saw a couple ore boats out on the lake yesterday. Our dad had set up a telescope and used to watch the ore boats out on Lake Erie. I always enjoy being able to look out over Lake Erie when I come out to visit.

I learned from my brother an interesting story that show how close all of us can be connected. Some of you have had my stuffed mushrooms that I've brought to local gatherings of this Forum. The original recipe came from a cook book that was put together by a local church here in the village. It turned out that the lady who submitted the original recipe for my stuffed mushrooms was a Sunday school teacher to the lady who lives next door to my brother. So in celebration of learning this I am going to make a batch of my stuffed mushroom and send some over to the lady next door.

I brought my Lou Groza jersey with me so I'll be properly dressed to watch the Cleveland Browns game tonight. Everybody enjoy the day.

We had both girls home with grand daughter and grand son. My BIL
and my wife and I, we all ate way to much.
I smoked a 15 lb turkey and the girls and my wife prepared the rest of
the meal, dressing, green beans, twice baked potatoes, salad from the
green house, and the old Southern favorites sweet potato and pecan pies,
hot rolls with real butter, also my wife makes me a cranberry sauce.
Now we have been invited to my nephews for a pre-Christmas dinner and
the next Saturday to my nieces for another dinner. I'm smoking some
cut of pork on Christmas day. I will be lucky not to gain twice my weight
before 2022.
Have a wonderful day Ole Joe, I always enjoy your weekly post.

Good Sabbath Leon,

We had a quiet Thanksgiving with close friends. We grabbed a nice Christmas tree from our normal vendor on Friday. We hear there will be a shortage this year.

I shot well in our 100 yard, cheap ammo, old-timer's rimfire match on Tuesday. I came in 3rd overall, but had the highest single target score. Our clan's motto is Spem Successus Alit (ain't it the truth!).

The women in my life are all scrambling around discussing about where we will meet-up for Christmas. Pray for peace in Jerusalem! LOL

I watched the Iron Bowl. Auburn had the win but let 'Bamma get about 40 seconds and the ball back. I didn't have a dawg in this fight, but I was pullin for Auburn.

We had some great morning walks. Here are some pics. We got new iPhones this week. Verizon had a special and they gave us $300 each, for our old ancient phones, so we traded. The 13's have a pretty good camera in them.

Good morning all !
It was just the wife and I for thanksgiving we both had too much turkey and everything else to eat and had a nap in the late afternoon.

I was not in the mood for more turkey Friday so I cooked a nice Prime Rib that came out perfect.
I just got done using the meat slicer shaving the left-over Prime Rib and tomorrow will do some Philly steak grinders for dinner one of my wife's and my favorites .

You always take the most beautiful photos, I look forward to them each week.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Roger that and thanks!

We had some heavy frost this week.

May everyone have a wonderful Sunday. Thanksgiving was good, with my 93 year old Dad. Thank the Lord. Today is also the first day of Hanukah. Will be celebrating that at sundown. Blessings.

We had 5” of snow on the ground before going to church here in NE Ohio. It come down all day, sometime lightly, sometimes more heavily. Herself said it is like living in a snow globe!

Growing up, Pop called on the ore ships and I frequently would go with him. It was always neat to see ships on Lake Erie from horizon to horizon! I remember counting over fifty in sight often. Nowadays, if you see one, it is a big deal!

I joined the black gang and worked my way up the chain.
