UPDATE!-Need prayers for my wife, please

Been to THAT rodeo 3 times. Prayers up for a good outcome and successful rehab.

The doctors are going to stress doing the rehab and starting on it immediately. They can NOT stress the importance of this enough. The sooner she starts and the better she does it the better she will be able to walk. That is right out of the knee replacement bible.

Please let us know how she gets along.

Can she take mine with her and get them done at the same time? The left one really kneeds (:)) it but I don't want to go.

Think of it as an investment. You will pay with some pain but it will pass quickly. The dividends will be pain free walking with no limping. No more waking up in the middle of the night and wanting to scream. no more eating pain pills like candy. No more worrying about how you will be able to walk next year, next month, next week...tomorrow.

I guarantee you that your only regret will be that you waited so long and did all that suffering for nothing. And the longer you let your knees deteriorate the harder it will be for the doc to get you back in shape. It could limit what can be done.

The techniques and material they are using now greatly reduce the impact of the procedure and the pain and duration of the rehab.

I hope you will go for it. You can thank me later if you aren't spending all your time on the dance floor ;)

Two years ago I had both knees replaced in the same week, not that I recommend that. Tell the wife that PT is everything in quicker recovery and full function of the knee. Painful, yes, but grit the teeth and push through. The effort will pay off afterwards. The surgery itself is not so bad when you have one good leg to support you.

We will keep both of you in our thoughts.
Hope it goes well and there is a speedy recovery.
