Did they do any damage prying open the fuel door, or does his vehicle not have one that locks. It's very considerate of the thieves to use a siphon.Here they use a 1/2" drill and a metal bucket. Bad guy leaves when the flow slacks off leaving the rest of the fuel to run out all over your driveway, tires, landscaping and wherever.
Pick-ups and fullsize vans are primary targets due to ease of access.

A bit of perspective...one of my cousins in Suffolk e-mailed me that petrol at his local station was (in USD) $7.17/gallon.

Sunday,, March 6, it was 3.59.9 today it's 3.75.9. , it's going up daily.
I spent part of my loan to buy hamburger.

Pretty close to Jet's area too and gas is anywhere from $4.04 to $4.59 for unleaded regular depending upon which station you drive past.
That explains it all. It is political in nature and Europe is full of themselves.
People die for oil.

Gas at our local station jumped 5¢ today. At least they still have free paper towels for the windshield.

In my small mountain community there are three gas stations. One carries brand X gas and unleaded regular only. A Mobil station has been installing new pumps and tanks now for about two months so that one is not a choice. That leaves a Shell station. Both of my cars require Premium fuel. Shell 91 octane today was $5.99 a gallon. Thanks Joe.

People die without it, too. The European governments have painted themselves into a corner. Ban the oil and support Ukraine, or keep the oil and avoid headlines of folk freezing to death, or power cuts killing folks on live saving machines. It's a choice I wouldn't fancy.
On Friday it was $3.79, on Monday it was $3.99 and today, on our way to the gym for spin class, gas prices are up to $4.19.
I'm kinda wondering what it'll jump to on our next trip to the gym on Thursday.
Fortunately our little Toyota Yaris get's around 40mpg.
