Gas for $2.96

I paid $3.999 yesterday and was happy to do it and thankful for the opportunity to defund my fun money stash.
(Note: I'm using reverse psychology on the gas pricing Gods!)

Ours just dropped from the $5 plus range to $4.96 out here on the West coast of Washington.

Sheetz announced it will drop gasoline prices for Unleaded 88 to $1.99 a gallon for a limited time for the Thanksgiving travel rush. . . . Sheetz said the promotion will begin on Monday, Nov. 21, and last through Nov. 28.

"We hope this price reduction provides much-needed relief at the pump for our customers as they travel for the Thanksgiving holiday," said Travis Sheetz, President and CEO of Sheetz.

The price will only be available at the stores that offer Unleaded 88. You can check the mobile app to see if a local Sheetz offers unleaded 88.

I don't use E88 in any of my vehicles That is 15% ethenol.

I saw that but none of my vehicles run on 15% ethanol either.

At those same Sheetz stores regular is $4.09 but remember PA has the second highest state gas tax in the nation. We were #1 for years till CA recently beat us out.

I started driving in the spring of 1973, Gas was $0.32.9! My wife started a little over a year earlier and gas was $0.25.9. Even earlier I saw Sohio (now BP) at 17 cents. Road tax was 11 cents! Gasoline was a byproduct of making napalm! When Vietnam ended inflation and deregulation caught up with us.

And in 1973 as an E-4 I was bringing home less than $500 per month.(That included COMRATS and a housing allowance.)

When I started driving in 1968 I remember gas being $0.26-.29 per gallon. My first public Job in 1968 paid $O.90 per hour.

That worked out to less that 3 gallons of gas per hour of work.

Are there any jobs now paying less than $10.00-12.00 per hour? Seemes to me gas is still about the same as it was in 1968 unless it goes over $4.00 per gallon!
