Gas for $2.96

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. —
Sheetz announced it will drop gasoline prices for Unleaded 88 to $1.99 a gallon for a limited time for the Thanksgiving travel rush. . . . Sheetz said the promotion will begin on Monday, Nov. 21, and last through Nov. 28.

"We hope this price reduction provides much-needed relief at the pump for our customers as they travel for the Thanksgiving holiday," said Travis Sheetz, President and CEO of Sheetz.

The price will only be available at the stores that offer Unleaded 88. You can check the mobile app to see if a local Sheetz offers unleaded 88.

$2.889 at the Sam's Club in Albuquerque this morning, and there wasn't a line around the building.

However, even though this is good news, I need to remind myself that gas at the same station was $1.599 on November 24, 2020.

We're having a gas price war between two gas stations in our little SE Nebraska town and we're reaping the benefits.

Cheapest I’ve personally seen in San Antonio recently is $2.59.9. More typical in my neighborhood today is $2.85.9. Regular. Diesel is still closer to $4, more in some places.

$3.89 for regular at Fred Meyer in Bellingham WA yesterday.

crazy how cheap it gets the further away from Seattle you get. Just 15 miles north in Everett it drops 50 cents last time I was up there doing a FFL transfer. A buck cheaper in Cle Elum, an hour east.

If the fuel in a tanker is worth a dollar more per gallon in Seattle, why aren't the interstates full of trucks bringing their fuel here..... 10 grand per load........ ?

anything over around $2 a gallon is too much as far as i'm concerned.

I started driving in the spring of 1973, Gas was $0.32.9! My wife started a little over a year earlier and gas was $0.25.9. Even earlier I saw Sohio (now BP) at 17 cents. Road tax was 11 cents! Gasoline was a byproduct of making napalm! When Vietnam ended inflation and deregulation caught up with us.

Way back in my Puppy Dog Days- gassed up in Phoenix in the middle of the day.
Gas War! Got Gas for 17 cents.
Later that night, crossed over into Cali.
Paid exactly double, 34 cents!
