Yes, I laughed out loud when that dust cover flipped open... :)

And yes, I had exactly the same reaction to that video that you did...the Russians will never defeat the Ukrainian people...not in a million years.

1945 seems to be back for Russian 'soldiers.'

A Ukrainian MP has raised alarm about Russian soldiers raping and sexually assaulting women during its invasion, and said Ukraine would "not be silent" about the crimes.

In a TV interview, Maria Mezentseva referenced one case in Brovary, an eastern suburb of Kyiv, where a woman was raped in front of her child.

On Wednesday, the prosecutor general, Iryna Venediktova, said the attack was being investigated by the authorities and Ukraine had told Russia that an arrest warrant had been issued for the serviceman.

Speaking on Sky News' Sophy Ridge on Sunday, Mezentseva said: "There is one case which was very widely discussed recently because it's been recorded and proceeded with [by] the prosecutor's office, and we're not going into details, but it's quite a scary scene when a civilian was shot dead in his house in a small town next to Kyiv.

"His wife was – I'm sorry but I have to say it – raped several times in front of her underage child."

After the attack, the soldier is believed to have threatened the child.

Mezentseva, the head of Ukraine's permanent delegation to the parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe, said that cases needed to be recorded, as "justice has to prevail". Rape and sexual assault are considered war crimes and a breach of international humanitarian law.

Be careful of what you see and hear on The Internet,Reddit especially!
I think real Ukrainians would shoot them in the head.

I'm aware of that ,if people watch they can judge for themselves. I only watched it once, that was enough for me.

I won't be shocked if the video is disappeared from a lot of sites.

Nothing could possibly budge the Ukrainians from occupying the moral high ground in Russia's invasion slaughter.

Possibly, but the video I saw was as nasty a thing as I've seen in a very long time. I'm not defending the Russians in any way, but watching bound helpless POW's get shot is a pretty jarring sight.

If there were any validity to the claim, these marauding "helpless" murderers of women and children can put an end to it by simply leaving.
These scum are not POWs, for Putin declares there is no war, it is a genocidal "Special Military Operation", and Russian troops are criminals.

Not sure why the victim, Ukraine, has to take the high road in how they treat the Russians…..I don't think the Russians think twice about the indiscriminate bombardment of civilians……I don't see why there should be any mercy for the Russians.

In a very real sense, I think
the ordinary Russian soldier
is also very much a victim
in this war.

Hopefully if captured, the
Ukrainians take into account
just what these Russian soldiers
were doing or not doing.

Reprisals "in kind" I understand.

But unwarranted, and I stress
unwarranted, reprisals by the
Ukrainians will only stiffen
the resolve of their enemies.

Nor would I be in a hurry to
extend leniency toward
career Russian officers.
They have been reaping the
benefits of Putin's corrupt
system for years by
carrying out terror wars
in Crimea, Donbas, Chechnya
and Syria among other places.

1945 seems to be back for Russian 'soldiers.'...

I've written several times in this thread about Harijs, the Latvian father of a close friend, who was drafted into the Wehrmacht after the Germans expelled the Russians from Latvia, and who hated the Russians for the rest of his life.

When the war ended, Harijs sought out and surrendered to an American unit (the Russians would have killed a Latvian in a German uniform) and was interned in Oldenburg, in northwestern Germany, where he met his future wife Greta.

Greta used to talk about how relieved she was when it was the British, Canadians, and Americans who came to occupy Oldenburg at war's end, instead of the Russians, whose reputation for raping and pillaging was widely known.

Apparently, today's Russian Army is determined to perpetuate the worst stereotypes about themselves...

In time, Zelenskyy may have to give up Crimea and the Donbas region.

Here we are talking about the significance of the passage of time, right? The significance of the passage of time. So when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time...there is such great significance to the passage of time.
