300 personnel.

I believe a wing of the U.S. Navy
supports the building, use of
many swift medium sized
missile cruisers to replace the
carriers.

Situation in Borodyanka is worse than Bucha, prosecutor general says

Ukraine's prosecutor general, Iryna Venediktova, said the town of Borodyanka will be the worst-hit by the Russian invasion in the Kyiv region.

Speaking on national television, Venediktova said the number of victims in Borodyanka, around 23km west of Bucha, would be higher than anywhere else, but did not provide further details.

She said:

We can speak of Kyiv region because yesterday we got access to these territories and are currently working in Irpin, Bucha, Vorzel.

In fact, the worst situation with civilian victims is in Borodyanka. I think we will speak of Borodyanka separately. .

The US is not in a position to independently confirm Ukrainian accounts of atrocities by Russian forces against civilians in the town of Bucha, but has "no reason" to dispute the accounts either, a senior US defence official said.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said:

We're seeing the same imagery that you are. We have no reason whatsoever to refute the Ukrainian claims about these atrocities – clearly, deeply, deeply troubling.

Hey,I'm an avid FPS gamer an I'm hardly what you'd call new generation since I hit 79 today.

Glad to hear you enjoy it.
The newer generation are taking it to a whole new level than just enjoying gaming. Colleges are offering classes,making it a sport and many making a career of it. Just did work for a 23 year old college guy that owns his own company teaching a certain game on Y tube. Employs his 21 year old brother also. He said they do over 500 thousand a year as a company. His house reflected it!!

I could picture a guy like him being consulted on control systems or tech stuff.

The ID is protected by the reporter so the
person is wiling to comment.

An actual spokesperson is usually well known
and the ID is not kept out of the story.

Sometimes the use of unidentified sources
is abused but the record for accuracy tends
to bear out the practice as being useful.

Those 19th century bolt guns never wear out! Was a kick to shoot the carbine I had. It was acceptably accurate but hurt the old shoulder a bit. 10 rounds and I was always ready to quit.

So aptly describes the dichotomy known as Russia; Fred Flintstone meets the Jetsons. Little to no difference between Russia and any 3rd world country. You know Putin didn't send in his JV team, he must be so proud.

Likely his hypersonic missiles are all hype.

I don't know what types of defensive weaponry carriers have, aside from fighters and escort ships, but I hope it is very good. A hypersonic missile could very easily doom a carrier. Or any other surface ship for that matter.

A carrier? It's not WWII any longer. That would likely place us into DEFCON 1.

I'm in Europe on vacation right now, and the situation in Ukraine dominates the news. Germans in particular seem acutely aware of how close they are to this war.

I visited the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial today, and saw an inscription in the chapel that seemed so apropos...and when I walked past one grave in particular, I swear I could hear a voice saying "I told you so..."
