I walk again… kinda

I’m happy to walk and stand again. Sorry you had to use crutches like that.

And I am Very Happy you are Walking Again !!!

Please don’t be Sorry
I actually consider being. “Broken from the Beginning”
a Benefit. I never had to look back sadly in Comparison to a Time that I could walk

I just used a Cane for 40 yrs 20-60
I had a Marvelous “Run” ;)

Now I am just slowing down
& am Grateful I can use Crutches Well

It keeps me from having to use a Wheelchair

At least you had a good run. I had a roll over accident that wasn’t my fault in a 66 Chevy C30. I originally had pictures in another thread. But I had the mods take them off. I will post the pictures in the future. I came out with broken left shoulder, shattered ankle, shattered eye socket, multiple broken ribs, broken teeth and other injuries. All on my left side. I’m happy I didn’t get a back injury or worst.

Edit: doctors were going to do surgery on my shoulder but decided at the last possible moment not to.

Mr. Rusty1953, lawyers or not, I'm just glad you didn't lose your girl. Anything else is a bonus I suppose, but that car is really blanked up. She's lucky. And you still have your girl. That's really all that matters.. Thank God for those "crumple zones" they put in these new cars. They have been proven to work as engineered.

Yeah, crumple zones save lives.

Yeah, a F150 will win a fight against a Honda any day. Y’all are lucky She doing good. Never take love ones for granted. I hope she haves a full recovery Rusty.

Sweet. I love that engine and transmission combination.
Every boomer will try to buy that car from you lol

But my friend, you are alive! And thank God for that!

Yeah, I’m so happy I’m alive and recovering. I will post the pictures of my truck in the future. It’s amazing I came out of that alive. I spent a lot of time reflecting on it. I found that a lot of events that played out over my entire life led into my accident. I can trace one event that led to another and eventually led to me buying that truck. It’s weird. Like a literal destiny.

I also been reflecting on a girl I spent the past few years pursuing. I made enough progress that she invited me to a local bar last November. She wanted to see the old C30. She was disappointed I didn’t bring it that night. I didn’t drive it there that night because of wiring problems I since fixed. She been hard getting a hold of since march. I been wondering if I had managed to win her over. Would the circumstances change that maybe would had led to her being in my truck with me when I crashed. That might sound stupid but I been wondering.

Therapy is hard. In two ways. Do everything they tell you to do. But, don’t do more. I’ve had several injuries at work and off work. They know what they are doing. Do all the work and nothing more.

I am. I’m being very careful about it.

That car saved her life! Every airbag deployed and they had to extricate her from it.

Not long after the wreck we emailed Honda Corporate singing the praises of their engineering, safety and design teams. We received a lovely reply.
